Same here! Whenever people respond with those short, like, two sentence or one word responses I always think they're mad XD

Ahhh, well, in some cases yes, but it's usually most common with very tall women or some cases of dwarfism. I mean if tha's yur style, I totally get that. If you want some tips on muscles this artists ~ImageC0rrupt3d has a tutorial on how to draw muscles (though she could have taken it down since I last saw it but I THINK she still has it XD) and to show muscles in the legs and arms, just watch women that are somewhat muscular or that have the body type you are trying to draw.

If you think it's creepy to stare at them(lol which I advise you wear sunglasses if you're going to be obvious about it) then watch shows with women whose body type youre trying to draw. OR you could get an anatomy book(artists anatomy! not just a regular anatomy book by the way) The penises are embarrasing at first, but you get used to them XD It's actually really informative.

Everyone has their own style of naru-eyes though so you don't have to get it dead on so it's fine if you don't like to draw them too far apart XD

I think that as long as you give her rather large hips as well then it's fine. There are plenty of characters that have larger boobs and hips then Sakura and Ino, so if anyone gives you crap just remind them that all body types exist and that they should respect the differences. Lol or just ignore them. But if someone has a point you could listen to them and try to hear them out, but if they're just jerks it's best to ignore them.

Aw it's fine. Just practice drawing boobs smaller I had a habit of drawing all my characters breasts rather large but that was because I learned to draw from Inuyasha and a male-done "how to draw manga" book where all the women had an average DD cup XD Just look at more pics of Sakura and you should get a better idea of how to draw chests smaller.

lol indeed she is. I mean I don't have a PROBLEM with her, she's just a character in her own little world and I'm sure Twilight has it's own little thing and it's fine all on it's own. But it's a terrible example of how to write realistic and reasonable characters XD

I do like to draw curvy women, I find it kind of easier. xD;;
But if I want to expand my array of body shapes, I'd have to practice. But I do notice that Kihimoto draws some of his women (Ex: Tsunade and Samui) a little more top-heavy with thinner hips. But, that might just be me.

For references, I usually look at stock photos on dA
I find that :devsensistock: is very good, since everyone is in leotards.
As for anatomy books, I live in a town with only 3 places that have books (1 is a book store, one a second-hand bookstore & the library), so I am limited on resources here.
Penis is still a funny word to me. xDD

I suppose the eyes don't have to be dead-on, but I think they shouldn't look like eyes you see on chibi's or characters like in Shugo-Chara. That'd just look... odd.

Luckily, for the 2 years I've been on deviantART, I haven't heard anyone bashing my character(Although I somethimes think a person or two is hiding behind my back.)
I am a paraniod person. I know it. But I'm not skitsophrenic(sp?).

I suppose I should draw Sakura in the near future if I want to get a hang of drawing itty bitty titties. xD

As for Bella, I don't declare my hate like some people. I just realize that if I don't have an opinion(which, I do sometimes let out.), I'll survive. xD
As for Meyer's 'Own little world', I would prefer it much to stay there instead of becoming published into a bookby publishers who have forgotten what a good book is actually like.

Yeah it feels like if a comment isn't long enough it's not worth responding to XD I hate those "lol" or "kawaii!" ones cause I never know what to say D: Or the dreaded someone has their characters argueing with each other and they don't really seem to be talking to me, then I just feel like I SHOULD say something but I have no idea what :/

lol You're welcome I just started mimicking what she did and that's how I develouped my style, like, significantly XD She has a few phrases saying that if you model your own art more after people who you want your art to look like, your art will eventually get better. I also watch a lot of what *Jubilations and =nayruasukei draw as well, it's sorta Disney-ish style but it's still pretty cool

I think it really depends on the scene how he draws them XD But the basic body type is generally thinner girls with smaller chests. I think Ten ten is the most typical body type in the show.

I wouldn't advise drawing a girl with Tsunade sized chest though XD Her boobs are just SO BIG! They need a freakin area code all by themselves XD That's gotta be painful when running D:

Those work too I think the library might carry those types of books but I don't know since I've never checked D: I don't read books much anymore XD I've switched to comic books and online stories >_> *is ashamed of non-educated-ness) but I guess it might be worth a shot But I live in a huge town so if my library did have those books it might just be because of my towns size, I dunno

None of the eyes I draw(aside from when I reference naruto) actually LOOK like naruto eyes half the time XD It's like wi-fi, you just gotta get in range and it counts XD As long as it's not like, big ol' shojo eyes on the characters I think it's close right?

Hmm, I don't think anyones ever bashed my characters and I think I've been on for...almost four now? Bah, anyway, most of the time it's not really a problem unless the person is like SUPER popular and they aren't even that good, but their oc's are like DA-fame because the person once traced(now who knows if they do or don't) and their fans are crazy as all heck and idolize them and the characters never develoup. THOSE are the only characters I've ever heard of who get a lot of crap. Other than that I don't think it's usually a problem XD Ah, it's cool! Paranoid people FTW!!!! *high five*

It also bugs me how people read into it and start saying how meyers is some super genius who had this ingenius plot of a romeo and juliet love and how forbidden it is and how amazing the love is and blah blah blah. It's a guilty pleasure kinda books that girl's read when they want to forget about reality and pretend that two gorgeous hunks are head over heels in love with them. Nothing more, nothing less! Yet people are allowed to read Twilight as a "classic literature" kinda read in schools? Noooo, I don't think so D:

I think its good when people try to improve on thier art. I have heard from a book or two to copy your favorite artist style. (Although no matter how hard I try, I can still see my own style in there. xD;; )

I think that those that once traced, but now aren't, I think they're doing okay since they've learnt that tracing won't help. Which reminds me, I've just ran into a tracer only 5 minutes ago. Naruto screenshots and other's works traced over galore.
I gave them a warning though. It all just depends on them.

Twilight is nowhere near "ZE BEST BEWK EVARZ!!!111!one!". I prefer those fangirls to keep to themselves. I don't bug them about how much I like my interests. Meyer should never ever publish another book. Nothing about it is wonderful. I read all of the books to see what the hell I was missing. Not much actually.
By the way, since vampires are basically the undead, shouldn't they be dead EVERYWHERE, like the PENNNIIIIIISSSS~? (lol.) Because no way should baby-vampires ever be produced. Bella is just a self-insert of Meyer so she could live the fantasy she never will. But she HAD to go and publish it(I wonder how much she had to bribe everyone with...?).

Lol smart thing XD I get so flustered that sometimes I wait for weeks or months on end before I respond because I don't want to be rude, but I can't think of a response D:

Bah, that's normal, I've gone through at least four or five different people's styles but somehow I come back to the same basic style XD I really only improve sections of the work, like I've adopted longer lashes on my characters, larger lips and squarer jaws instead of the triangular anime styled ones XD But overall I think the way people draw doesn't really change as much as it sorta just takes on NEW characteristics XD

She could be a model of typical body sizes! That'll make her less ignored Or she could just streak through konoha until someone pays attention to her XD

Ffff, Vagina is a funny word XD GUH I can't help it D: Theres a few other words that make me giggle. Like nipples. Did you know that the screws in some building screws(like for showers and stuff) are called nipples XD My dad works in handy man work so he does a lot of house work and once when he fixed the shower he asked for some help and as I was sitting there waiting orders he told me to go get the nipples for the shower(I knew what they were but the fact that he said it so non-chalantly made me laugh harder) and I just started to laugh and he was like "chandler, get the nipples first, laugh later." It was quite unprofessional.

Yup, four years and almost nothing to show in my gallery for it XD I've gotten a bit of improvement but that's about it D: It's quite sad really lol.

I don't mind if they trace, but I don't understand why they POST their tracings D: Why don't they just keep them in a little box on their shelves to admire and love all to their own D: That's what I did when I was younger, I didn't trace but I kept my crappy work to myself because it was really just stuff for myself XD The tracers that trace then post it then deny the tracing and then encourage others to trace as well are really the only ones who bug me. I'm happy when they stop tracing though, I just get irratated with their ego after a few years of acquiring fanbrats then they think that because they stopped tracing but the fans still drool over them that they're all that and a bad of chips *sigh* egos, I swear D:
I found this tracing once that was just, so obvious! I knew what drawing book they traced it out of and when I brought up the fact that thats what the pose reminded me of(I didn't say they traced though as I wanted to give them a chance to give a good excuse) they got really mad XD Then I just let it go because it didn't seem worth it.

ZOMG seriously XD I don't mind fangirls! The world revolves with fangirlism! But I hate the ones who try to kill others because they don't agree D: Don't they know that others are allowed to have their own opinions too D:

I suppose so. I guess it's like a fingerprint or a signature. Your style is your style, no matter how hard you try to change it. c:
But indeed, there will be a more noticable change as to what style your copying, there will just be a few things that are still simular, that the artist will definetly notice.
I've had quite a bit of change in the past few years from referencing other's styles. I've been able to draw more of a human figure(Although my heads are still more longer than normal), and I have a better grasp of how to draw noses(Damn you noses! ). But I still have a long way to go.

Tenten would probably not be noticed if Tsunade was running in her birthday suit at the same time. e.e
Although I'm sure the only reason that Tsunade would be doing it is if she was drunk, saw Tenten and decided to join in on the fun. xD

I remember when I first joined dA, and I decided to post a picture I edited over of Ino. After it got reported did I realize that tracing was wrong. And THAT'S why I work on my own pictures now.
(And with bases, I do just for fun/boredom/art-block. )

Haters and Fangirls just create one big shitstorm, if you ask me. I decide to stay low and out of trouble. It's easier. (although it kind of looks like fun. xD)
Luckily, I haven't seen an interview of Meyer. I really wish she just kept her pages of crap to herself. She fucked up vampires really bad. I used to think vampires were cool and stuff(The REAL ones still are), but now when anyone mentions 'vampire', you can now immediately think of 'gay sparkly vegetarian etc. etc. fag'. It's so sad.

wow this tutorial is really good. Although I've been drawing my own naruto characters for almost as year now, I always wondered why my characters never looked... Naruto-ish enough? (if that works xDD). But now I know why. Mainly to do with the head shape and the eyes. I shall probably be looking back to this next time I draw. XD ^^

That's exactly why I had to make a tutorial XD I got so frusterated with all the tutorials that didn't actually TEACH anything as much as it was "heres how I draw, this is how I draw eyes, this is how I draw noses but I'm not gonna tell you the process!" And it's just UGH! SO I had to take matters into my own hands XD
