Description
this i believe, could be a key for many style oriented, talented artists. many young and upcoming artists tend to focus on a few elements in drawings, like cute face with big eyes, or big round boobs. (ohh wait.. thats me!) but there are a few things in drawing, its so technical, at first sight you get lost and just ignore there is such technicality involved and applied to most of your drawings. (if not every single ones.) technicality in PERSPECTIVE drawing, the main subject of this tutorial, is actually quite simple. afew principle and tricks can get put you on a new perspective in drawing without a doubt. my intention here is to cover than principle and tricks.unlike life-drawings, (human figure study) perspective drawing is as simple as binary, 0 and 1. just gotta find away to depict this two bit structures.
though my english isnt the best, and i didnt even bother to proof read, but this will certainly convey the message, and i do hope you get something out of it.
this tut is made using Photoshop CS, and without any use of references.
if you have questions? best way to get an answer out of me is here: [link]
"sorry for my poor english" -my favorite quotes from my fellow friend artists from korea and china.
this has been brought to you by MESSS.CC! new home of messstudio. [link]
if u ever get to do an art with the infomation in this totorial as platform, i'd love to be told. it will just make my day. ^^

I just want to say that this tutorial was very useful for a aspiring, learning new drawer such as myself and I'd be overjoyed if you'd make more of these.

I like it but Chapter 2 confuses me... Is the staircase supposed to be triangular or did you intend on it to be square-like. If it's supposed to be the latter then the lines created by V.P.2 should be parallel, right?

Have you ever looked into circular perspective; the fish-eye effect that the human eye really uses (since it's circular shaped)? as both two and three point perspective simpifies what is really observed.

Nice job! I'm relatively new here, and this will help a lot with any 3-D drawings I may do in the future. Thanks! (Your image probably has the largest vertical dimension of all the deviations on here... tres cool!)

Most excellent.
I'm sure this will indeed help those willing to read, look and learn.
Even though I've read several books on the subject, it's always good to see someone elses perspective.

whoever tells you using 3D mockups is cheating is an idiot.
why not make the best out of any tools youve got?
though i would like to mention that, its not too dificult getting the grasp of this basic technique. just something good to know

*ragh* stupid comments not postiiiing
I remember learning a similar technique in University, but I've just always really struggled with perspective... I suppose I should just push forward and learn how to do it though. Practice makes perfect, though I'm aiming for... presentable.

This is one of the most Brilliant tutorials EVER! I've read quite some books about perspective but NONE of them even mentioned the (so simple) ise of crossing lines in order to find the center of each step! I always was pondering on how to find and make sure the different levels "shrink" in a normal "perspective" way... And couldn't found an answer... But your tutorial was a boom! I'm going to put your ideas in action this night and try to make something out of it!
A big Thanks and a is the least I can do to thank you!
