Description
this i believe, could be a key for many style oriented, talented artists. many young and upcoming artists tend to focus on a few elements in drawings, like cute face with big eyes, or big round boobs. (ohh wait.. thats me!) but there are a few things in drawing, its so technical, at first sight you get lost and just ignore there is such technicality involved and applied to most of your drawings. (if not every single ones.) technicality in PERSPECTIVE drawing, the main subject of this tutorial, is actually quite simple. afew principle and tricks can get put you on a new perspective in drawing without a doubt. my intention here is to cover than principle and tricks.unlike life-drawings, (human figure study) perspective drawing is as simple as binary, 0 and 1. just gotta find away to depict this two bit structures.
though my english isnt the best, and i didnt even bother to proof read, but this will certainly convey the message, and i do hope you get something out of it.
this tut is made using Photoshop CS, and without any use of references.
if you have questions? best way to get an answer out of me is here: [link]
"sorry for my poor english" -my favorite quotes from my fellow friend artists from korea and china.
this has been brought to you by MESSS.CC! new home of messstudio. [link]
if u ever get to do an art with the infomation in this totorial as platform, i'd love to be told. it will just make my day. ^^

;_; Omg! [hugs you] I've had so much trouble with perspective. My library carries horrible books about perspective, and I didn't learn much from them.
But this is so made of win <3

WHOA.
That's so helpful! Mostly perspective tuts/books don't really show you what they mean or show and don't explain. But this does both very well. Almost like a math teacher or something, with all the clear instructions and pretty, straightforward map/guides.
Thank you so much!

Thx. I am not one of those young sex obssessed artists though... at least in drawing...
Helped a lot. Though I suspect the horizontal line will be distorted on earth when one views landscapes... due to the curving horizon (and if structures and objects of other kinds are erected perpendicular and almost straight downwards to the earth's center of gravitation pull, no straight objects, perpendicular to their corresponding locations on earth, will be parallel... know what I mean?)...
and even if earth was flat... wont this basic concept be distorted to our sight perception due to our eyes' compository mechanics and shape of the lens? Yes? No?
just... Curious. I am doubting we wont be seeing the same stuff on earth as it is on drawing... what do you say about it?

Even though it's curved it appears VERY flat to us, because we're only seeing a tiny bit of the world. Like a tiny tiny fraction of the actual diameter.

This is very useful and I think your english is fine. I know I need some work on perspective but many steps I find in books aren't too great. I find this greatly useful and it really is clear. Thank you. This will be very good to look at as a guidence.

First of all thanks for taking the time to make tutorials.
There are some typos and the stair has 9 steps but number 8 was left out when you designated the squence in which you drew them.. so it shows 10 steps there. But hey you didnt write it to improve my english nor my counting technic.
I often have a problems when I try to create a drawing like the city view you added with the tutorial. I dont know when to stop drawing buildings, after a while all I'm drawing is lines. And I also tend to add to many vanishing points creating lens effects, its probably better to ignore them? (place them extreemly far away). But due to my many failures I'm not fond of creating these kind of pictures. After seeing the basics again in your tutorial I might have another try.
Thanks again for the tutorial work and the ofcourse the finished art works for our viewing pleasure.
