Description Finished! After working on this thing off and on for 4 years, it's finally done. Some parts I should have changed before making the final molds, and they tore in some unfortunate places because of it, but I at least got the one gun out of the molds. I can probably get a couple more, but they'll need a lot of work to clean up some of the rough spots.

I've made a couple that were solid chrome paint, and I can say that I definitely like drybrush silver over black a lot better.

I've thought about it multiple times and it's possible, I just haven't had a reason to do it.

Gah, how does your stuff only have a couple hundred views? It's so good!

Does your gun crack open? Did you build it from scratch, or use another as a point of reference? I've got a friend who's in the market for a Vash gun, but it seems we missed the period of time that people were casting replicas and no one does it anymore.

I don't know, I started this account about 14 months ago but I've been making cosplay props off and on since about 2003. 2012 will be a good year for me making stuff and uploading more pictures.

Vash's gun doesn't have the top barrel breech that it should. The problem is that it's a lot of stress on the hinge and the latch to secure the two halves, and it's really something that you can't make functional with soft resin, it should really have some aluminum parts. Send this guy a message and see if he can get you a Vash gun for your friend: [link] I think he's painted one or two, and I know there's a decent resin cast model floating around on the internets these days.

Nope. No trigger. I've found that it's the first piece to break off during photoshoots, and since it's going to be photographed mostly in people's hands, that area will be covered up by somebody's hand anyway.

You could just photoshop it in afterwards
