Description Finally finished with this thing. There's some details I don't like, but I don't want to keep spending weeks fine tuning it. It's just going to be for cosplay. Also, trying to photograph a 60" prop that has curved reflective surfaces is not easy. :/

You used a nerf longshot I can tell by the handle I had one but sold it off with 10 other nerf guns so I could by the fallout 3 limited edition for £30

It is a sod to get the angles right! One thing i do is to use pearl or energy saving bulbs as they're not a bright white glare.

That's a good idea! I use whatever I've got around. Hopefully, it's a sunny day and I can take pictures in indirect sunlight. Otherwise, I have a couple halogens on a stand that I shine up at the ceiling.

Just be careful they don't burn the ceiling. I've seen it happen many a time back in my days as a painter. At a pinch it might be better to hang up a mechanics light? (poss better if you have a pearl bulb in it?).

My indoor shots aren't done with fancy lights, just the lights in the ceilings.

I have mechanics lights as well, but usually I turn the halogens on long, get my 10-20 shots, and then turn them off, they're never on for more than 15 minutes tops.

Thanks! It's a bitch to photograph properly, it's too long and has a lot of reflective surfaces, so no flash, and the lighting has to be diffused. I'll see if I can get some outside when it's sunny.
