Just a quick paintjob I did for a friend for his birthday. There's some blue hues to some of the metallic silver paint, but it's really hard to see with this lighting setup. I need to get my white levels better balanced. :/Related content

Yeah, or you can just leave them. They're not really holes. You'll see when you cut the bits off.

No, but that settler pistol is pretty cool looking. I was just going for some dark metallic colors and dark woodgrain.

Yeah I managed to pick up a couple of these and just wanted to see what it looked like with a quick paintjob. It's a fun shape and I'll probably do some more higher detailed paintjobs on them later.

Yeah it's a good chunky shape for a revolver. You could probably paint one in a flat/matte black with silver highlight and use it for Hellboy cosplay.

Yeah, the Lanard X8's been out of production for a while now. If you're lucky, you can find them on Amazon for $25, but that's a bit steep for me considering I saw them as low as $3.99 when they were in stores.

Thanks, it was my first video, and I know it rambles, so I plan on making a much shorter version soon. I've got the process down to about 2 hours tops now.

Yeah sometimes simpler color schemes work out better than 10+ colors, decals, metallic paints, and a buttload of LEDs. 
I mean, you could probably make a "Halo" or "Mass Effect" version of this gun, but it's pretty solid as it is.

Yeah overall, the whole photo has too much yellow in it. The wood, plus the yellowish hue of the lighting just kind of washes the whole thing in yellow... :/
Also, it does shoot Lanard darts, but I don't know if regular Nerf darts work in it.

Good idea! I might have to do that for my personal Lanard X8. The Samaritan is more of a solid gunmetal/dark metallic black, with tighter silver weathering on the edges. It would fit right in with Cyberpunk guns like Ghost in the Shell and Seburo guns.

Getting the right light with blue-hued metal effect can be somewhat tricky. Nice metalwork.

Thanks, I really need to get better lighting though, I mixed some black with the silver, and did a darker metallic colored drybrush on the upper barrel, and then I did a harder-edged silver drybrush over that, and it makes it look like a combination of wear/dirt, and a surface that's been scraped off or scuffed down to the pure metal. That's that wierd stripe of silver on the barrel in the pic. Looks much better in different lighting. :/ It's a cool effect, and I'll probably mix up a separate bottle of black/silver and do 2 levels of drybrush from now on.
