Description
There was nothing about my Golden Eagles for a looong time. And a lot of things happened to Eagles. In an alternative universe, where they exist, they were disbanded in 2010 because the program became too expensive to develop and support. Eagles' pilots were sent to other squadrons, a pair of planes was given to museums, other were closed in hangars (they initially must be scrapped, but somebody in MOD defended them). Eagles' aircraft carrier - HMS Fate - was sent to eternal parking.
Meanwhile in USA Northrop Grumman's project of F-14 Tomcat renewal didn't find any support, since everybody was busy with F-35 development. So, the company tried to suggest their project to other countries. But it was rejected because of various reasons. The project was finally noticed by BAE Systems, which found it promising. Moreover, developing it would be easier and cheapier than to create a new plane, since Northrop Grumman already made a lot of work (they even made a working prototype, which was the competitor of F-35 and the last hope for the company to get the deal with US Navy, but it failed in the end).
Eventually, economical situation in the UK became better; this and the situation around the world made ideas about Golden Eagles' renewal sound not that impossible. Later they were given green light, but with some restrictions, including more dependence on Royal Navy (that also means wearing Royal Navy colour scheme and roundels, things, which Eagles avoided successfully for about 50 years) and less funding than it was before. Eagles got back their squadron, planes and carrier.
BAE Systems tested and modified Northrop Grumman's prototype. Finished F-142 Supercat (or Supercat Mk I) had it's first public flight in 2015, Eagles' comeback was announced in the same year.
Some random facts:
- The plane performed really well during it's first public flight, people loved it.
- Though, Supercat is still something like a temporary aircraft for Golden Eagles. BAE Systems already works on something new.
- The plane can be used only by Royal Navy, Royal Air Force (RAF version is possible in the future) and Commonwealth countries. Little "revenge" from Northrop Grumman for scrapping their project.

Looks incredible, very aerodynamic and detailed. The design is excellent, I thought for a moment that these were real before I read the description, excellent work on the variable lines, markings, and making the technical aspects look accurate.
Anyway, great job on this; I didn't know you were so good at drawing aircraft before now.

Thank you very much!
It was my first aircraft drawing in ages and I'm glad it turned out good. I spent quite a lot of time making all these lines
I like to draw planes and other vehicles, but I do it not so often.

No problem.
I'd say it definitely looks very realistic and technically accurate; I'm not a jet fighter expert but I think this would make an excellent reference for instance.
I used to do the same, one day I plan on bringing them to my animation; though they won't look nearly this good or detailed. Ha ha.
Anyway, great job as usual. See you next time Illusir.
