Have you ever drawn a picture of your OC, and someone, or actually quite a few think that it's you when it isn't? Even when it remotely doesn't even look like you.Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Sure you can have a name based on your character, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you're your own OC. Now don't go and tell me to change my user name just because it's based of my own character. That's inane. I think it's kinda tedious to have to tell people that I'm not my OC when I'm clearly not. Especially if I don't draw persona's.
You get what I'm sayin'? Good.

Closed the comments because too many people are asking for evaluations of their characters being them or not. You either are your character or you're not. Stop asking me, only you know the answer to that.

Example: Me. my OC kills Thiforians (A sub-race to furries), which is based on a small part of my personality, but I can control it and think of them as normal people if required.

My Oc, LPS100 (weirdest name ever) is always wearning the SAME Scarf that I have in real life, BUT, BUT, she's TOTALLY different from me. example:
LPS100 has a boyfriend who is Toothy (It's OcXCanon, don't you mind about this?), But, In real life, I NEVER had a boyfriend. :/
And, I HATE make myself as a Dragon/Animal because, I hate myself and I think I'm so ugly.

I totally get this! I love designing characters (especially cartoon characters!) and none of them represent me OR my buddies! Well, the good ones don't. Just because I love the characters I create on paper like an author to their character in a fiction novel, DOESN'T MEAN they're supposed to be anybody else than who THEY ARE!

I do find that annoying. ._. I also know someone who role-played with me and they kept referring to our characters as "you and me" and not their names, sometimes abruptly changing the role-play format to first person when that wasn't what we were using to begin with.
Making a character based on yourself is a bad idea in my opinion anyway.

I don't take an issue with persona characters. I don't think it's right when they shove it in everyone's roleplay.

OH MY GOD!!!!! This is so common actually, except seeing as I suck at drawing, instead I describe my characters to my friends to see if it is a good idea or not, and sometimes my arty friend draws them... And now, after I attempted to write a story where the five main characters were lightly based upon my four friends and I, said four friends seem to think that I base all my characters off of people! Example, when I am describing a main female character, and use something along the lines of "She's seriously badass" my friends will instantly say "It's you!". I end up lost for words for a moment, opening and closing my mouth like a fish, before calmly stating "She's not me." They counter it with a special look that I'm quite sure they got off of me, and I return that look with a look of confusion or a look of "Are you serious?" and that goes on for a minute or two, before I suddenly jump up from where I sit, point a finger at them all and yell "I AM NOT HER! SHE IS NOT ME! GET IT RIGHT I AM NOTHING LIKE HER!"
Apparently, according to my friends, I can act out my characters personalities sometimes...
That's what I get for being a writer (If only an unpublished writer).

Ah, this is so true. I mean, just because my character happens to be blonde doesn't mean that she's me. I do have my moments of worry when I think, "Oh, no, what if I come off as narcissistic or something because other people think that I'm romanticizing myself by creating an interesting OC to represent me", but then I just shrug it off, because we're two very, VERY different people, and that's not what I had in mind when I thought of her.
And besides, she's a different shade of blonde. And her hair is straight.

Haha, I actually never seen someone use him/herself as a character. Even Mary sues are merely a dream of what the writers WANT to be. If you make a character who IS you, you would be way too much aware of everything you do and your flaws. And you would give your enemies a reason to dislike you. This is beyong human capabilities. xD
So if people say that, they think that you're a deity or something. Biggest compliment ever, totally insane. xD
