Had too show this off, these are very cool. EVE has two expansions every year, one for the summer, and one for the winter. Both are free. the summers update, incarna, bombed big time, and as such, CCP, the company that makes EVE, is focusing on the space part instead of the station part, like they should. This is uber beautiful. A little while back, CCP updated the graphics too planets. Now those planets feel like they fit in. The biggest thing for this winter is the updates for the background, which are nebula's, which dominate the image here. It may not sound like much, but it makes a world of difference. There were also new ship skins, a new Raven battleship model, and four new battlecruisers, which I'll probably end up posting the minmatar Tornado variant when it gets it's skin and textures.Oh, and destroyers have been balanced. and hybrid weapons. confirming I can get nearly 500 DPS out of a Rokh with 425 railguns.

Saw the new nebulae on sisi, and I was quite amazed =o
The serpentis-style nebulae ring though was kinda off-putting, it just didnt fit in that well :S

For some reason, that space craft looks similar, in design, to the B-Wing fighter from Star Wars (with it's wings folded inwards of course).

Many ships get inspiration from the various space based franchises. The next line of ships, however, are all based on designs from a DA contest many months ago.
This one in particular is a Gallente Catalyst.

yes, real money. You can also buy items in game which cost a lot of credits but add 30 days of game time.
It's also much cheaper than Wow. And much more expansive.

no, it isn't RTS. It's in a league of it's own. It definitely isn't twitch based, and it's no for the impatient either, you need to put in a good three months before a lot of options open up to you.

Eventually you can pay for your time in the game. But, to get a feel for the game, someone can send you a 21-day trial invite (otherwise it's only 15 days). Currently, a PLEX is $19.95USD, selling for about 455m ISK, and buying high (in my region) for about 415m ISK.
Yeah, that was a load of confusing information. If you join up, the Market window is where you can find this info out, and you'll understand what I just said.
