Description
PREVENTING BLOWOUT & BURNOUT WHEN INCREASING DYNAMIC RANGEThis is a 3 page PDF, Click on [link] (DOWNLOAD) to Read it or Download it.To do the Tutorial Yourself, you can get the photo here: NOTE: The actual PDF Download is not all grainy like the Preview above. This Tutorial shows a simple technique for preventing blowout and burnout when you are increasing the Dynamic Range of a photo. This problem in frequent in the post-processing of photographs.
There are often Photos which are too flat, and may even have blowout already present. But when you go to use Photoshop's Levels, Curves, or Contrast, to increase Dynamic Range, the peak highlights blow-out and/or the deep shadows burn-out.
This technique shows you how to isolate peak highlights and deep shadows, so that you can then adjust the rest of the image however you wish.

hey im glad 2 c ur still around too. I hope all is well. I have not been doing so good, which is why I have fallen further and further behind on DA.
I have not been able to keep up with my Watch related deviations, to the tune of 2,224 of them waiting to be seen. Talk to you later. I will send a note when I can to see how things are going for you.
Matthew

My pleasure. I really made it for a local school, for their photography class. I have been giving it to people here just as text, so this should work better now.

Thanks. i actually gave this to you a while ago, but it was just as a short text description. There is a local High School Photography class I really wrote it for. I am hoping to find the time to make more photography tutorials.
