I adore this black-grey-white work, particularly it's few lines, doesn't clutter the image <3

Thanks!
This was one of my fav illos I did for the series. I think I may actually work best in ink, I just enjoy the feel of paint.

I occilate between paint and ink myself, but I think I'll always end up back with ink, or ink and water colours.
You know, coming back to Hiding under Kohlrabi's cloak again, I would love to see Phillip Reeve's Mortal Engine's illustrated in a similar way, I think it would work very well, personally.

I ain't ready them. Someone... maybe my sister wasn't a fan and that kind of put me off but i've heard good things about them since.
I did illustrate bits of the "His Dark Materials" trilogy by Pullman a few years ago now but I think i've lost the work.
But i'm glad you likey! Thanks!

great composition. It almost looks like an aquatint. How will it be reproduced? Very small dots close together?

It's nought for the book unfortunately (which is already published). It's just my own illustrations to the story for publicity of my work. I'm glad you like though! Hopefully some publishers will too... *drifts off into imaginary "Antland"*

I like the fact that it feels like a crowd even though they're only silhouettes also. :3
And the old woman's expression really is great. xD

Yeah... i'm not actually too sure how I did that... I imagined her face as something else, but what I actually drew looked pretty cool, even though it was completely different from what i'd intended... is this a good thing or a bad thing? @___@?

AWESOME.
I love the old lady's confused expression! And I love that she's clearly in a crowd of people despite the fact that I can only clearly see three of them. (well, four if you count the extra legs!)
The layout of this is spot on, emphasising with the old lady's expression exactly what you need to be looking at but still with masses of interest. Spot on, Ant, seriously - I really love this one!
