Had to re-upload cos I forgot the prince's scar!
It's for the Prince of Persia contest (UK res only). The prizes include an Xbox 360 and an A5 Wacom and seeing as i've never had a games console in my life (i'm 24; old!) and my cheap fake-Wacom graphics tablet is on it's last legs, I thought it would be a competition worth doing.
Factoid: Mainly painted to the sounds of 90's rave classics e.g. The Shamen.

Well, all three entries were amazing and there were others that were undeniably of the same caliber, but didn't make it to the top spots.
Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd say, while this is probably a pleasant surprise for you, accept your position/prize wholeheartedly.
You worked just as hard as anyone else on this, I'm sure.
If anything, I think the greatest prize is the recognition all three of you achieved for your pieces, and deservedly so.

Nah, i've been bad but things are a bit better now. I've got a part-time job as an artist's assistant and I just sold some work in an art exhibition in Cardiff Bay, Wales.

Welcome back, Ant. Good to see you. This is an interesting painting. Your take on the characters looks very fresh, and I like the composition. But I think the best part is in the bottom third. Your brush marks are so loose and energetic, and the forms just flow. Good stuff. I'd love to see you try your hand at abstract composition.
