Wonderful, beautiful and I have no doubt that all at my former lab mates would find it just as amusing as I

... I'm thinking something with a beagle would be interesting... anyway I digress..

Beagle?

What's that? (apart from being a dog)

I am slow at these things... be patient with me!

Oh goodie – I do so love an opportunity to share my normally useless minutia.

The HMS Beagle was the name of the ship that Darwin was on during his biological surveys where he collected samples and made the observations that would later provide the evidence used in his seminal work β€œThe Origin of Species”.

But even more importantly, it was on his voyage that he observed (aka shot and bagged) the finches (or Darwin’s Finches) that have very different beaks in both shape and size – dependent on usage.

Ah yes! I honestly think that I knew that!... but I forgot, so that didn't do me any good, lol. Thanks for the info!

so you're making fun of the good old Darwin, aren't ya? En garde! for the honour of Ch.Darwin!
just kidding, the stamp is of course hilarious, and very beautifully done

^^ Haahaa. Thanks.

I've had some very contradicting responses from people on this piece and another one like it: some people have thought it's a rip-take of the theory (one even accused me of being a creationalist) but yet I also got an offer to join some weird Darwin appreciation society...

So, yeah... it's weird...

it's uplifting when your pictures cause such burning reactions in some people, isn't it?
heh "weird Darwin appreciation society" sounds preety cool I wouldn't mind if someone offered me joining "weird Darwin appreciation society" because I am a little weird, and I do appreciate Darwin
maybe I'll make some Darwin-inspired-picture too (not as gorgoeus as yours of course, that would be impossible) and they'll maybe offer it to me too, what do ya think?

You say commemorating, which is usually a good thing, but this picture looks like it's saying that the theory of evolution is ridiculous.
So are you for or against evolution?

I support evolutionary theory. I know the illustration is humourous, but I don't think i'm ridiculing it. I am showing it's principles clearly in a way that would appeal to most people, including children.

In fact, this weird society of Darwinian Theory supporters contacted me over this image and asked if I would like to join them to fight against the ignorance of Creationalism. I thought it wise to decline.

Haha! What a funny story. I wonder how they found the image?
However I think you exaggerated its principles a bit much, But it's still a cute idea.

Then they might as well wipe out the human race, that's natural selection.

Thanks!

I invented a conspiricy theory after i'd painted it that each bird was secretly planning to kill another one. I may pencil in a diagram of my reasoning at some point and plonk it into my scraps.
