I put on my robe and wizard ha-

Oh, somewhat. It's more of a thing for gnarly hands and Austin Powers clothing (his art is pretty weird), and something about the posing and execution of this that made me think of him.

Those are amazing hands

He thinks that his art is too bad for anything as public as the internet.
Little does he know, he's actually better than half of the people here at deviantART, lol, gotta love that anime.

Anyway, sorry, I wish he did.

Thanks!

I have to admit, whenever I want to draw a venerable looking old man, I always base him on a set of prints I saw at a this girls degree show about 5 years ago. They were of scenes in "Lord of the Rings". Anyway, they blew me away and I spent the majority of the time at the exhibition intently staring at the linework and simple but stunning compositions (the other students work was not quite as inspirational i'm afraid to say). I think my work nowadays looks a bit like a more complex, colour verion of hers... Anyway, I think it would be interesting to her prints again and see if they're still as good as I remember... or maybe not... may spoil the memories...

The article was already in existance: i just pasted over the illustration which was already there... we were always told at Uni to do it that way... but when we went to show our portfolios to magazine and newspaper companies for a week of work experience, they didn't understand what we'd done either... there was a lot of explaining and embarassment.

If you're interested, there's Mapman2 as well: he's in a contemplative, sulky mood this time.
