I haven't been using SAI for very long, so I don't know all the tools and lingo. What do you mean when you say "clip it"? Also, what is a vector layer and how do you make one?

Took a quick screenie to show you where clipping/vector is: [link]
To make a new vector layer you just click the box that I circled. xD
By 'clip it', I mean you check the box next to where it says 'clipping group'
Clipping a layer will make it so that you can only draw where you've drawn on the layer you're clipping it to.
