Description I never had the chance to study, and I never had anybody to teach me this stuff. I feel I could have saved so much time if I had known this before. Maybe I learnt it after practicing and observing the masters, or in some tutorial on the Internet. I don't know for sure. But I want to share some tips with artists who're starting and are not yet confident with their work. I truly hope this can help you!

I feel that, though this is helpful, Your also telling people not to do certain things that may portray into their personal art style and make them feel like they are in the wrong

Thank you very much for your comment. I really appreciate it.
I'm not THE example to follow, but I listened to the masters, respected and successful professionals who know a lot more than me. And this is what I've learnt. I can assure you, none of the 'bad' things I'm mentioning look good if they are excessive, like effects, textures from photos and blending like a madman. I think I was clear when I said "overdone". Of course you can do whatever, with creativity and skill, but it will never look pleasant to human eyes unless you know what you're doing.
