Update:
Thanks to everyone who has favorited this humble tutorial! I cannot believe it is so popular, but I am very happy that I could lend a hand to anyone who wants to improve their drawing skills. I, myself, am always trying to improve.
I would be honored if you also took a moment to browse through the rest of my gallery. I have tons of sketches and artwork!
Also, if you find this tutorial helpful, even in a teeny-weeny way, feel free to leave a comment. I would love to see your own Disney-styled artwork, so feel free to share.

I like that last part. Its interesting to see the girls differences side by side like that. You wouldn't think they were that varied until you get close enough.

I found it very helpful! But Doesn't Pocahontas just have black eyes? But yours are so much better
You would be able to get a job a Disney!

Yup, you're right! Pocahontas' iris are black so the iris and pupil blend together, making her eyes appear solid black. (Mulan, too.)
It can be helpful to sketch an iris first even if you decide fill it in later.

I've been looking for days for a website that would show me something like this but noooooo.... all the websites that google comes up with when you ask 'disney style tutorials' they just have tutorials to show you how to draw the disney princesses. Thank you for making this! this'll really help seeing I'm trying to draw my own characters in different styles as practice and to see what they'd look like XD

I'm so glad this tutorial was helpful! I don't usually draw in Disney's style, but it is one of those that I feel is a basic to at least learn since it is so widely known. It is a great way to practice and a platform for developing your own unqiue style, too.

Yeah I've never drawn a person in Disney style before.. just Mushu and Stitch. I tried drawing my oc Lusikka while looking at the tutorial and its not bad for a first try! Thank you once again~!

Thank you! Yeah, I do not draw Disney-esque very often, but I find it is usually to know the techniques.
