I really like Thorax. He's probably my number 1 favorite character that got introduced in the sixth season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

I liked how we saw his evolution from little larvae who wasn't bigger than Queen Chrysalis' head, to become the new King. I personally have no issues with the new design of the Changelings though. I like colorful characters, and they also remind me of the original Flutter Ponies from G1. I can see however how other people might have problems with them. The same way I don't like the Rainbow Power designs or the outfits towards the end of Rainbow Rocks. It's all a matter of taste and opinion, and in my opinion these new Changelings look fine. My good friend Corner Engy did bring up a very good point when he saw this picture. He said that the new Changelings look better whenever they are shaded, as in anytime there's fanart of them. I think he's right, since shading can be what either makes or breaks a picture, which makes me look forward to what IDW will do with them in the comics.

I made this painting for BronyScot 2016, in a hurry and with somewhat of a time limit, as I wanted to get a print ready to first release it at that convention. I wanted to see how good my art would do if I were to make something nobody else had seen before until they got to my vendor table. How did it go in the end? Well, by the end of the day I managed to sell all of the A3 copies I had, and all the A4 ones except for two. I think it's safe to call that a big success. It felt rewarding and it gave me the boost of morale that I've been needing for months. I'm very insecure about my own art (I'm the worst critic I know) and anytime I post something I see only the mistakes on it. To say I have self-esteem issues would be to put it lightly. So seeing this much validation felt great. It managed to balance out all the negativity I've been putting up with for the past two years.

Thank you to everyone who purchased a print at BronyScot. You guys are the reason why I can do this as a career, so thank you for supporting me.
