Description
A loose painting of some invading walker-type aliens at a harbor, set some-when in the future. Initially it was set in a more technological environment but I decided to tone it down. All done in Photoshop. This image is a personal project, so doesn't belong to anyone else, i.e. a client. The full license for this image is £40 ($60).A similar quick concept would take a day to do (including revisions). The cost would be £100 ($160).

Looks that way - they are very low budget aliens who have yet to discover knee joints. Time travel yes, but some how they skipped the basics of science! There isn't even an internet where they live, or even kettles that glow when they boil!

Getting a mix of War of the Worlds LP art and Command & Conqure's Scrin. Really atmospheric piece and the people at the bottom give a good sense of scale as well as confirming the mood of the image.

Indeed - I watch lots of tutorials by people like Dylan Cole. He always make a point of 'suggesting' detail with lighting and values. The brain then fills in all the missing details.
