Darn Nintendo, why can't they make Peach as awesome as she was in the Super Mario Adventures Comic? :<

My reaction to Peach getting kidnapped after SM3DW: They raped Princess Peach.
It's a South Park reference.

Peach: One of these days, I'm gonna go on strike until Miyamoto gives me what I desire, even if it takes FOREVER!!!
("FOREVER!!!" echoes)
Bowser: Princess Peach on a permanent strike???
One Foreshadow Later...
Bowser arrives at the Mario Bros.' house, knocking on the door.
Mario: Bowser?
Bowser: Mario, you gotta help her! Peach is on strike, and only we can negotiate with Miyamoto!
Mario: If we do that, our company would ignore any Princess Peach-related ideas.

This happened 4 years ago, but the petition's closed. Too bad Nintendo didn't get the message. Sometimes, they can be really hypocritical towards Peach.

I plan on showing Nintendo my ideas. I can just imagining Shigeru Miyamoto saying, "We love them!" And I bet they'll make a Mario character inspired by me and my understanding of Princess Peach, one that serves as her conscience/guardian angel.

I personally don't really care if Mario games have the same storyline. Who cares if the story is repetitive? Video Games are about having fun, not listening to stories. And besides, what's wrong if a franchises's story is the same? The Pokemon games have the same storyline where you are a trainer catching every Pokemon and you fight an evil team to get a legendary Pokemon and you have to go through 8 gyms to become the Pokemon League Champion. So what's wrong if a franchise is repetitive? In fact, some cartoons are repetitive, and no one's making a big deal about Pokemon and cartoons being repetitive. Still a funny comic though! XD

i agree with this comment so much...and i have never actually played a Pokemon game, but i've played enough Mario games to the point i just have tons of fun...forget plot it's a game where you're a chubby Italian plumber who saves the princess of mushroom people from a giant turtle dragon thing, that sounds like fun to me

Objection! I can't believe you are this blind, for nintendo just so happened to release a game with Peach as the protagonist. And what did she do? FIght a giant bowser!

Yup, and how did she do it? With the Power of a Sexist Stereotype! :'D

( All things considered I do enjoy that game but they really should've known better than to cater to the trope that Women are very emotional lol; )

Sexist stereotpe. Very funny ,my friend. This might be a much more entertaining case for me. So, let's say there were stereotypes. Please explain them to me

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JamesTheReggie In reply to togepi1234 [2015-09-26 23:00:32 +0000 UTC]

again I just said what it was, Females being overly emotional. You can't tell me that Super Princess Peach was chocked full of that given that's how Peach got her outrageous powers. xD;

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

togepi1234 In reply to JamesTheReggie [2015-09-26 23:02:01 +0000 UTC]

Alright, sure we have emotions. But if thats your point, then that means that phoenix wright dual destinies is sexist too!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JamesTheReggie In reply to togepi1234 [2015-09-26 23:06:22 +0000 UTC]

it probably is, not going to question that (mainly cuz I haven't given the series a chance yet). then again Super Princess Peach is an E-Rated Game whereas Dual Destinies got an M-Rating (which I find amusing given I've always seen those games get nothing but T-Ratings).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

togepi1234 In reply to JamesTheReggie [2015-09-26 23:10:34 +0000 UTC]

That's not my point. My point is that Athena Cykes, the new character, has the ability to hear peoples emotions. And what stereotype are we talking about here? Women. Being. Emotional.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JamesTheReggie In reply to togepi1234 [2015-09-26 23:50:58 +0000 UTC]

that's hearing people's emotions, not actually expressing them. what Peach was doing was expressing them to a very radical point, and that's what stirred all the controversy behind the game.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

togepi1234 In reply to JamesTheReggie [2015-09-26 23:58:51 +0000 UTC]

So cartoons are all sexist? Tell me of atleast 1 tv show where a female character hasn't been engulfed in flames from anger, or having flowers around them from how happy they are

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JamesTheReggie In reply to togepi1234 [2015-09-27 00:07:44 +0000 UTC]

well, you do have a point there. It's just more noticeable with Peach because that entire game catered on that stereotype xD;

again I'm not trying to give Super Princess Peach too much shit, I mean I did enjoy the game when I had it but there's no denying that it's one of the worst offenders of a media that exploited that stereotype to the inth degree.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

togepi1234 In reply to JamesTheReggie [2015-09-27 00:34:09 +0000 UTC]

Who says it's centered on a stereotype? Afterall, people seem to jump to conclussions too quickly.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JamesTheReggie In reply to togepi1234 [2015-09-27 01:21:28 +0000 UTC]

Peach apparently cuz that's much of what you do in the game, make her so goddamn emotional that it hurts anyone around her xD

well whatever the case, you can say what you want but Super Princess Peach is anything but a squeaky clean game (even if it's a good one)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

true but that doesn't mean they should continue to follow the same trope in the exact same manner over and over again.

I mean look at Super Mario Bros. 3 & Super Mario 3D Land. =/

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DoJayMi In reply to JamesTheReggie [2013-05-03 22:23:31 +0000 UTC]

Why shouldn't they? Plotlines are reused and recycled all the time in the old cartoons like Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry. (ex "Wabbit season! Duck season! Wabbit season! Duck season, FIRE!" *BANG*

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JamesTheReggie In reply to DoJayMi [2013-05-03 22:26:29 +0000 UTC]

I suppose, but let's be real here. How many Mario games have re-used that plot with no spice to it whatsoever?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DoJayMi In reply to JamesTheReggie [2013-05-04 16:33:52 +0000 UTC]

Well, I can't come up with an argument for that. I'm just saying that Mario isn't the first one to do it. Besides, looking at Super Mario Bros U, you have to admit they added a little spice to it to make it more interesting. Also, a few spin off Mario games have a little bit of a plot to them (ex. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Mario & Luigi series, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon... okay, I haven't played that one yet, but I hear it's good.)
