I was frequantly asked "How..?" So I decided to make a short tutorial and answer the main questions I usually get
This is my very first attempt to make a tutorial and share what I know. I did my best but still there are some mistakes, I hope you understand ...

thanks so much for this tutorial! I've been wanting to do more watercolor but if anything it'd be me just playing with it since I've only done it once or twice and my teacher always gave me crap for it being opaque and not watercolor like lol. I'm going to go home and get on something soon! tytytyty

Ha-ha, thank you! Some of my watercolors are pretty opaque too but I like it both ways. You should paint if you like it, do not care what the others would say. Good luck with your work

It might work the way you do as well, it depent what kind of background you are about to paint. In my case it is inpossible to do the figure first because I work very wet on the background

Hey there! Congratulations for the DD.
I have a question: Doesn't your scanner just eat all the colors of the piece? Were you lucky with this one or you suffer from the same problem as me?
Whenever I try to scan a water color painting, it just kills it. haha

I know this problem too. I can change the scanning preferences on my scanner ( model CanonScan 4400F), so it doesn't "eats" the colors; but it CHANGES the colors anyways, turning cold colors into warm ones and so on.. I usually adjust my images in Photoshop after scanning so that they look more like the original but it is not always a successful trick

I tried to mess up with my scanner but it's so cheap it doesn't really have much options... I wonder if taking pictures of the pieces would work...
