Description
I swear, I've never had such an odd coincidence when it comes to a piece of art. I was half way through with this image when I saw a strikingly similar image drawn by the very talented Christina Marie DeLong. I almost trashed this completely as a result. But was convinced to finish it by my good friend Celesse. In other words, I DIDN'T rip Christina's art! Don't anyone dare accuse me of it. This was an independantly created image. Think paralell evolution... like a hedgehog vs an echidna. Both eat bugs, and have spines, but neither are related.
So anyway, here you go. My 'official' christmas image for 2004. Enjoy. An anthro' Reindeer with the white phase of pelt...

The sterling horns are absolutely amazing. You've never ceased to astonish me at your gorgeous attention to reflection on metallic surfaces - I think that skill is both enviable and cherishable. Beautiful, sweeping snowscap. The detailing in the foreground flowers is utterly impressive as well, their colors are a soft, mesmerizing distraction and elegant balance to the azure.

Man, I hate it when things like that happen! And you come up with a really good idea, and start drawing it and then someone else does something almost exactly the same. I think I normally just trash mine though, and they go into the pile named 'unfinished stuff which you WILL make yourself do.. someday.. eventually..' x3
Aaanyway, visually stunning piece. It's a wonderful idea. xD I generally strike blanks trying to come up with original ideas for Christmas pictures. :3 I love the snow-flake, the plants, the background and the expression on the deers' face. It's all very serene. =3 And you did it digitally, fwah. The background looks like it's traditional! -dork- ^^
