I swear, I've never had such an odd coincidence when it comes to a piece of art. I was half way through with this image when I saw a strikingly similar image drawn by the very talented Christina Marie DeLong. I almost trashed this completely as a result. But was convinced to finish it by my good friend Celesse.In other words, I DIDN'T rip Christina's art! Don't anyone dare accuse me of it. This was an independantly created image. Think paralell evolution... like a hedgehog vs an echidna. Both eat bugs, and have spines, but neither are related.
So anyway, here you go. My 'official' christmas image for 2004. Enjoy. An anthro' Reindeer with the white phase of pelt...

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how beautiful this is. The silver antlers, the white reindeer with white pointsettias, the snow, and the blue band with silver bells. It's all harmonisly balanced. I would like to check out the other very simuliar image though.

That is absolutely stunning; I love the colors, the setting and the way you did the antlers to look like ice. This is by far one of the most beautifully drawn holiday pictures I have ever seen.

I would never have thought you ripped it...both pieces are gorgeous in their own right, and with all the songs and themes about silver around this time of year, it's rather suprising that more artists *haven't* yet picked up on this theme.

Sweet! And I can't think of a better image to ring in the new year. As far as ripping accusations, the only thing I'll accuse you of is coming up with a "ripping"ly good idea. Lots of people get these kind of ideas... it's a good challenge to a good artist and you answered the call admirably as always.

I am mesmorized by the fur! It looks so fluid and life like. The detail (especially on the poinsettias and holly) are really lovely.

I hate when things like that happen, but usually it's with one of those very well known artists that I know have rabid fans that will think otherwise even with my supporting details in the desc....

Besides the silver antlers and the reindeer, they're really barely the same. But I did think of hers when I saw this! But ignoring that- this is beautiful! No red- woo! I love the white phase pelt and the cream pointsettas.
