Description
A few months back, I mentioned that Rue Morgue Magazine was considering running a single panel cartoon of mine as a regular feature in their magazine. [link] Well, it happened, and Necronomicomics has bee appearing in every issue of Rue Morgue since August. My cartoon lampoons horror films (of which I'm a BIG fan), and I've already skewered some of my all-time favorites. This one was the second to run in Rue Morgue, and it references my favorite werewolf movie, "An American Werewolf in London". I don't plan on posting too many more of these, since I want to save the surprise for Rue Morgue readers, and those who buy my Necronomicomics collections in another year or so. But hope you enjoy this peek in the meantime!Necronomicomics copyright Jay P. Fosgitt

It's certainly my intention. I figure by this time next year, I'll start putting the book together!

AWIL is one of the best werewolf movies ever made.
It definitely has the best transformation scenes.
This goes to my faves.

This reminds me of the line from Mark Twain: "Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint."
Great job.

Nice to know that Rue Morgue is giving you a regular gig. Quite a funny one, with a wolfman that looks scary and kind of cute at the same time. I would have given you bonus points if you worked in a cameo from the late Warren Zevon. Now I'll have to check Rue Morgue for your cartoon regularly, but don't be stingy with them here at dA, either.

Just came back from watching Cinemassacre's commentary on 'Face of the Screaming Werewolf' with Lon Chaney Jr putting on the werewolf makeup again after twentysomething years, only to find this in my watchlist on deviantart. Okay. Your werewolf is like a quaxillion times better.

Beautiful illustration; great depth, colors, and composition. I love all the character designs, too, very clean and evocative. You have a major artistic talent, and a distinctive style.

No problem; I think this is one of the best pieces in your gallery. All of the characters look like they could be developed into 3D toys... I'd buy a set.
