So there ya have it. My Naruto doujinshi, PAGE ONE. Featuring my fave kage and kunoichi.I had a poll asking how I should do this doujinshi after I finished the lineart and the majority voted for clean lineart with text.
Phew, thank you guys! That makes things a lot easier for me. But I figured I should give it a try and do some backgrounds and a little bit of tones and a little bit of color for the first page. Here on out, it'll be more simplistic and clean in style. A sorta imitation to Kishimoto's style (or in the shonen manga style tradition).
Surprisingly, the background didn't take me much time. Probably a 2-3 hours spread out thinly through the past week at the most. What helped me tremendously is my Rurouni Kenshin manga. LOL...XD; I also used a little bit of Hikaru no Go manga as well. Gave me ideas for little details. I'm still not completely happy, but its a little cooler than before when I was just going to submit it plain.
Oh yeah, drawing Gaara's sand is a bitch. THAT took me a while to do.
Anyways, for anyone whose confused, visiting Kazekage Gaara just "materialized" himself into Naruto's apartment building. Going up the stairs, he spots someone in front of Naruto's apartment door.
I don't know when the next page will come out, since I'll be busy with my other projects, but for now...I hope you guys like. ^^ Enjoy!

I encourage you to keep going with this, since it looks like the rest of it never came out. Even with there only being one page, this is too good to just let be forgotten.
Not to mention Gaa/Hina is just amazing and awesome. x3 A wonderful doujinshi about them would be so fantabulous. <3

I love how you draw them so face. They look mature and it's nice considering they are supposed to be young adults. I found it very interesting that you did most of the art in Grey scale but still colored Gaara's tattoo. You did an excellent job on his sand too. I'll be watching for the next page.

Great work, as usual! The only thing I could comment on is that since the black lines around Gaara's eyes are meant to be from lack of sleep, I think when his eyes are closed they would only be near the lids. Also, just something that bugs me a bit in the anime, since you have commented on wanting a more realistic look, maybe you could shade underneath his eyes to make them look a little puffy, like eyes would look if someone was getting a severe lack of sleep.

squee! Thank you! I used to think the same too when they showed in the anime and manga that even his eye lids are dark. Oo; I thought it was weird, but I figured to keep loyal to the anime/manga here.
Then after seeing my own eyeslids darken after getting no sleep for days, I realized, that yeah, it can happen!

I guess I never looked at his eyelids in the anime or manga, or my own either when I haven't had enough sleep.
I remember seeing that sketch. Gaara does seem to be the type to be rather protective about a wife or girlfriend, but I still like Naruto/Hinata or Kiba/Hinata better! 
Haha, now that is an understatement! We still need to get together to watch Ergo Proxy, and I have Slayers Try and all of Tenchi Muyo too, so hopefully we can find a way soon!
