So there ya have it. My Naruto doujinshi, PAGE ONE. Featuring my fave kage and kunoichi.I had a poll asking how I should do this doujinshi after I finished the lineart and the majority voted for clean lineart with text.
Phew, thank you guys! That makes things a lot easier for me. But I figured I should give it a try and do some backgrounds and a little bit of tones and a little bit of color for the first page. Here on out, it'll be more simplistic and clean in style. A sorta imitation to Kishimoto's style (or in the shonen manga style tradition).
Surprisingly, the background didn't take me much time. Probably a 2-3 hours spread out thinly through the past week at the most. What helped me tremendously is my Rurouni Kenshin manga. LOL...XD; I also used a little bit of Hikaru no Go manga as well. Gave me ideas for little details. I'm still not completely happy, but its a little cooler than before when I was just going to submit it plain.
Oh yeah, drawing Gaara's sand is a bitch. THAT took me a while to do.
Anyways, for anyone whose confused, visiting Kazekage Gaara just "materialized" himself into Naruto's apartment building. Going up the stairs, he spots someone in front of Naruto's apartment door.
I don't know when the next page will come out, since I'll be busy with my other projects, but for now...I hope you guys like. ^^ Enjoy!

Waii! thank you! When I sketched it out all I did was "WHOOSH" line here and "WHOOSH" line there, and when it came to inking I was like...shit! how am I going do this?? But yay, after looking at a few Gaara fanarts I got an idea, (twas sad, cuz I couldn't find any scenes of him "materializing" in any of my mangas. I'm pretty sure I have one somewhere, but I couldn't find it! XD;; So I improvised...)

I remeber one fic... didn't have a name, so the author was all 'Hey people, gimme ideas!" and she combined them, and it became the most absolutely ridiculous horrible name in existence. Like. "Amber ice, the love of the killer" or something. Except a million times fruitier. It was horrible.

Btw JB- you thought AX was unorganized LAST year? Everyone's complaining that last year was GREAT compared to this year. *Appanretly all the big events went to hell*

lord, I heard! I'm SOOO thankful I didn't go this year, and hey, didn't someone say the convention center in Long Beach wasn't that good? There ya go! LA convention center is huge, I've heard, so it should be okay. If not. *shrugs* I'll stick to artist alley. XD;;

It was baddddd.
It was pretty, great for cosplay shots, but... it was set up horribly, you had to walk SO much once you got out of the fricken exhibit hall to even get BACK to the con, and... ya. But LA is TOO huge. TOO much walking, it's bigger than we'll need it for, apparnetly the closest restaurents are blocks away so yu're stuck to the TERRIBLY over priced con food, and all the restaurants are ages away- E3 was always ended before dark, and cons tend to go all night, and it's NOT a good neighborhood- AT ALL- to be walking around in costume at at 2 am.
*Wishes E3 was still there though- SO NOT FAIR*

lol, yeah, so glad we didn't go. The only thing I'm dreading about the con being in LA is that it's a new location and new locations tend to bring a bit of confusion for long time staffers and guests cuz its unfamiliar.
Duuude, pack a lunch! That's what Kush and I did. ^^ Any time we've gone to a con, we always take lunch with us.
But WHY would you be walking around at 2 AM? dude, that's too crazy for even me the night owl who wouldn't get home till 1 in the morning. O_o; Kush and I tend to be done with cons around 9 at the latest.
