Here's something I've been wanting to cook up for a while: a guide to Channels, which is a handy way to set up your own "front page browsing" that I think tends to get overlooked/not known about. Just had to get around to finally assembling and notating all of my screencaps.Sorry for how long the sucker is, but it was kind of a choice between super-wide or super-long, and I figured that super-long was probably better.
And of course it still shows up auto-sized on my screen due to the width... if it looks a little fuzzy for any of you, try downloading the full-sized version.

Edit: Um, wow, I didn't expect this to actually get a DD.
Now I feel a little guilty about the MS Paint-ness of it. But a big thank you to anyone who gives it a look, and hopefully it helps you out!

On the actual deviation, this is awesome. I totally have to do it. I never do any customizing and I get sick of logging-in to see the same top-10 devs of all time.

Thankee. I didn't think I'd ever get a DD, but this is about the perfect sort of thing to get it on. Because it does my two favorite things: Helping people, and pimping something obscure that I like.
Hee. I do think there probably is also a lot of people who did know Channels existed but never really thought to customize it. (I admit I always customize everything to death. I have some things like my browser that even look almost nothing like the default setup.)

I'm ashamed to admit that after I took all the screenshots and cropped them, they sat on my hard drive forever because I knew it was going to take some time to notate them all. >_> But I finally got off my lazy butt and dug in.

Yay, I created another Channels convert!
Now you can keep track of all of the Wreckers and Perceptor fanart without having to search manually. :3
(Also, hee, I see I got you to join Aerialbot-Fans. Although, ironically, now that it's a Group, you can't make a Channel out of its Favorites any more. I just wasn't in the mood to try and take a bunch of new screenshots...)

They have eaten my brain. I had a fancrush on Silverbolt many years ago when I first got into TFs, but then he fell off the favourites list. Now all five of the little buggers are up there. Totally punted the Wreckers crew off, the attention hogs!
Makes me hope that if the Ongoing ever gets its ass around to giving the Autobots some gestalts, the Aerialbots will be one of them.

I've loved all of the Aerialbots ever since their debut episode. They've got all the benefits of the Seekers, except with more personality.
Yeah, I reluctantly say that Aerialbots in the Ongoing would be interesting. Costa's been OK with the characterization of the folks who haven't been in the -ations, which the Aerialbots haven't been for the most part, so it might not turn out that bad.
Silverbolt and Air Raid turning up in WFC is pretty awesome, even if Silverbolt has the most depressing bio ever and Air Raid stole his color scheme.

Man I ran across the profile for WFC Silverbolt the other day and was all 'Go Cry Emo Bot'. I mean damn, give the guy some Prozac or something.
Yeah, the only Aerial to show up in IDW so far was Silverbolt in Spotlight: Blaster, I believe. Here's another caveat to them being in the Ongoing - as long as Don isn't illustrating it! I mean, how's he gonna do 'Bolt's lips in Scary Face Style? That might scar me for life, if I think about it too much!

Yeah. I know that the fans like to joke 'Bolt is a super-serious guy who never has any fun, but that bio takes it to new levels.
Ugh, now you got me picturing that. *shudder* Thankfully I think Guidi's picking up the ongoing soon.
(Although Silverbolt's lips in SL: Blaster were kind of scary too. And I was amused that his WFC self still has the lips. Yay for the Sexy Lips Brigade?

THE LIPS THAT ATE CYBERTRON. Yeah, it's one of those weird things in TF, but as much as it has been complained about, it's also stuck. If they did him sans lips, it'd be weird too! And would garner complaints.
I gotta wonder what the original designers were thinking when they drew him like that for the cartoon. Channeling Mick Jagger perhaps?

I usually set my own page as my homepage, but it gets a little boring after a while. Going to my own channels page will definitely liven things up on a daily basis.

You should check out the list of all of the Gallery Mods: [link]
The mods often have lots of neat stuff going on in their Galleries, so they're good to keep tabs on for the Galleries you frequent most. The Fan Art mods in particular really are pretty awesome.

You know, when I first came up with this idea, I did a search to see if there already was a Channels tutorial but was surprised to not find anything. Then when I finally got this assembled and posted it I kind of hoped nobody had posted one in the meantime.

Is it not supposed to take that long? O.o I suppose I could have done it earlier if I had more buff effects and potions. She does have like 5 attacks in a row every turn though. Good thing is the kneebutt attack usually stuns, which can knock off 50-70% of her potential attacks. I just didn't want to chance it so I went for the skill I knew would help the most.
I'm working on the Sorceress quest now, but I need keys to get past the door. *sigh* I'll be doing the daily dungeon for a while...

DA seems to have all of its help stuff in the Help/FAQ section. Though it's not always all that helpful either.
I wish DA did have a Help forum, so people could get quick help from other deviants, as the Helpdesk is sloooooow. Heh. That's actually why I hang out in the Suggestions forum, to help out anyone who suggests something they didn't know already existed.
Good question on the Nemesis. I've done both the DB and Sauceror Nemesis fights at Level 10. There's definitely tricks you have to learn for them, though... and if you don't know what the trick is, it can take higher levels. (I beat the DB Nemesis at Level 12 the first time around, because I hadn't figured out the trick yet and just brute-forced it instead.)
And, oops on the keys. If it helps, if you've gotten the wand from the Dungeons of Doom, you can get only two of the Daily Dungeon prizes and then try zapping for the keys you need.
