Description
I rendered this picture to try out a new Dalek colour scheme. It's very similar to the colour scheme used in my last two Dalek images, except the paint chips have been replaced with matt blemishes. The idea was to try and make the Daleks look old and worn, but not as battered than in the previous images. The result is OK, but still needs work. The actual scene is not a new one, I've used it in two previous renders, but this is the first version to be posted to deviantART. The previous versions can be found on my website if you're interested (see links below).

Lovely scene indeed. I can see the work that's gone into the making of this. Are any of your sets available Poser friendly.

Just like the operation room used by the daleks under a dictatorship.

Upon consideration, I think the Dalek state would better be described as totalitarian rather than dictatorial. Or maybe it's both. Forgive me, political science is not my field

Oh they're not the actual dictators. They're the secret police.

Enjoying the retro feel of your pic here. Reminds me of a small scene from Death 2 the Daleks inside their saucer ship.

Thank you. If my picture brings the original series to mind in any way then I take that as a great compliment

Great pic, especially that you added the classic Star Trek Enterprise on their monitors. Nice touch.

Lovely stuff! Those casings are looking damned impressive!
And I must say, I've always liked that control console of yours - nice and elegant!

Thanks. I gave a lot of thought to what a Dalek's control console should look like, so it's nice to know that other people like what I came up with.

Thank you. I take it as a very great compliment if people think I achieve any degree of realism in my pictures.

Wow, this is amazing! I'm glad I found this. May I ask how long this took? The details on the Daleks must have taken forever. The wires are very realistic too how they are hanging. Their blemishes -- which I'm assuming is the matt blemishes -- give them a nice "used feel but working fine" feel ( I don't know how else to describe it as. XD). Nice work, you got nearly matched the look of the show. ^^

Thank you very much
I couldn't say how long this took altogether. I started building my Dalek model in 2004 and it took a couple of months to get it into a decent state, but since then I've modified or rebuilt almost every bit of it at one time or another. I must have put hundreds of hours into it. The rest of the scene elements (the consoles, walls, wires, etc.) have also been built and rebuilt at various times over the past few years. I always include randomised variable elements in my models however, so that a single Dalek model (for example) can be used to create an endless stream of slightly different Daleks, which means I only have to build one of each type of thing. This makes life a little easier.

My god, the amount of time ... not many people can go through such a long process, which makes this even more amazing to me.
It was my pleasure to fave and watch after seeing this model so excellently done. ^^
