Description
So, a couple of years ago, now, we started on this project. It was going to be a book, but the decision was made to release the individual characters, one at a time. Half the characters on this cover are my creations. The lady at the back is Ultime, imagine an amoral Supergirl, the guy in the red crab suit is King Crab, my twist on the Mole Man type of misanthropic genius, next to him is Agent Theta, an alien with a hidden agenda, In the black and red armor is Regulus, a trans-dimensional warlord type, the lady in green is Countess Diavolo, a sorceress and the toastmaster in gold is the Philosopher. Dominique Sumner ran up all the stats for these guys, because I have no idea what I'm doing, in that area.
This marks the very most firstest time I've ever used a fricking compass to lay out a cover. Hated ever moment of it! But, it achieved the desired result. This also marks one of those rare occasions where it all came together like I saw it in my head. Very satisfying.
I rarely attempt likenesses, but if you see a hint of Tricia Helfer in Madame Winter, Dominique's ice-queen, in blue-white and gray, it was very much intentional.
