Coercion? The Sunstripe I've heard about wouldn't just lie down and obey so easily, if so. But I suppose he might pretend to do so for a while, if necessary.
So, Dashie, spill. What's Flash got on you?

....... kay i have one major problem with this here............ cadance is an alicorn. sbhe could have puvlerized him and most of his fellows already.
even more so how does he plan to rebel against a vastly superior force as three fucking alicorns?

having the elements hidden in an undisclosed location is quite a bargaining chip.Β

not when you have a dream walker that can infiltrate dreams. and luna was pissed. let us see what five night of horrific nightmares does to someone.

that isn't op, that is a legitimate use of her powers.
the danger needs to not have a simplistic solution. here there is one. simply overpower the enemy and capture them. if they avoided the alicorns then that owuld prevent tha teasy part, but the very essence of this situation is them fighting against demigods to begin with. heck cadance is right there. she could have overpowered theri leader easily and captured him and forced theri men to retreat by blasting at them.
also their army seems to be largely pegasi.......... they are at a disadvantage. equestria has the air, magic, and a species that are basically shock troopers able to shatter wood and stone.

Without the elements though, The kingdom is practically helpless against the forces too powerful for the alicorns to handle. Β Why else would they need them so desperately?
You're making WAY too many assumptions bro. Β Trust me. Β There's A LOT more to what's going on here. Β
I invite you to pull up a chair and watch the fire works.

just call my mister cynical. i have seen so many fan project go down hill that i just expect the worst to happen. though i love being proven wrong.
........ some reason i am thinkin agoubht the idw firends forever issue that features spike and celestia going off to find a new lens for twilight's telescope. it reveals a lot of about why celestia does what she does. turns out that, as it is implied strongly, tiwlight and her friends were not alone for much of theri adventures. celestia was watching them, ready to intervene should anything go wrong. she also said many of the threats twilight faced celestia could ahve defeated herself, and some easily, though stated in a way that states that twilight and her friends defeated forces far beyond them.
thing seems to be taht the regal sistes rarely fight cause, well....... if the season 4 premiere is any indication, a battle between two beings on that level would devistate everything around them. would not say they would be unwilling to fight in the absence of the elements, but would say they would prefer to use the elements rather than have to destroy or even kill.

What is Sunstripe suddenly so sad ?
What made him betray the country, the people, the princesses he fought for, for so many years ?
...
Joe, I already read it. But I'm getting more and more hooked on.

Considering Rainbow Dash's loyalty to Twilight and her other friends was tested and passed with flying colors (literally) mere hours after meeting Twilight, her "abandonment" argument is such a load of horseapples, it's ridiculous.
Then again, it was probably some past event that we'll get some backstory on which likely caused that attitude, so I might not blame her for feeling that way since she hadn't seen said true loyalty for herself. Then again, you'd think that BEING THE ELEMENT would negate any and all doubts automatically. XD

The fact you had draw each of these just continues to amaze me. It's easy (relatively speaking) to make stuff like this on a computer. Doing it by hand, and putting THAT MUCH epic, glorious detail into it, is a hell of a lot harder. You, sir, continue to get props from me every time a new page goes up. In other news...
The hell does she mean Dash'll abandon them?! Dashie only did once...when she was kerfrack'd by Discord.

Whoa...
Suddenly, Sunstripe has gone from "complete prick" to "still a prick, but with an undoubtedly tragic backstory."
The implication is that Sunstripe is Fluttershy's older brother, but this would suggest that he thinks she's dead, when she's right there in front of him. Ah, the irony of it all...

I think Applejack's comment is a little bit of an understatement, considering that pony with a twist in her tail is betraying country, princess, and fellow pony while saying Rainbow Dash isn't loyal. Nothing like moral lectures from the immoral, eh?
Well, the plot thickens. Let's just see what the girls are gonna do about it!

Especially when they're so fanatic in their beliefs that they don't think they're betraying country, but they're doing the right thing for it. But yeah, they're definitely traitors, ponies who think Celestia is a tyrant might want to sample some REAL tyrants... they'd wet their coats.
