It wasn't. It's simple really, there's more to it then just death, and this a** wants to do something far, far worse then that. He wants to knock her down, make her nothing. This stallion wishes not to kill the body, but the soul, to change Sparkle in such a way that she may as well be dead, one where her friends abandon her, saying "You used to be different... You used to be a friend..."
Honestly, it's just as bad as death, to so drastically change that you're not who you used to be. The one that everyone knew now gone, and the new you now has to find a way to live with it. Sometimes, the mind can't handle the jump...
But, that's rather grim for MLP... Then again, knowing this fandom >.>...

I love your comic, the style is nice and the drive is good, but I dont get the motive...
They are trying to humiliate Twilight Sparkle for thinking she's all high and mighty, when in reality Twilight was more humble in that episode more than anything while trying to protect her friends, and didn't even go out of her way boast after Trixie was seen as a Fraud...
Most people forget that... I just think your comic has no drive.
But i'm not saying stop making it, I enjoy it, it's just that if your trying to do a canon-esque story then stick to what actually happened instead of trying to go for a Conflicting View story arc.
