Description
Just before the collapse, star is gasping for the last breath, enlarging itself, consuming all her children. I replaced originaly warmer version [link]for this 'cooler' one - I like the contrast between the warm center and cold surroundings.
Technical:
8000x3000px (300dpi)
PS9 CS 2 + A6 WACOM Bamboo One tablet
EDIT - changed the saturation and sun's corona

This is beautiful, but it does not seem as alive as the warm version. I usually like the cooler versions, especially blue, but in this case, the warm version seems visually more inviting.

Oh my...this is incredibly awesome! 
I think this one looks more real and it's more aesthetic and gentle with our eyes ( yeah man! in the other there was too much red and orange to distinguish the planets) also, the planets looks much more with the contrast of this dark background, because this "cool" background brings out the planets beauty more, and focus attention in them, and that's the way it should be so people can observe the texture, colors and the majesty of them with much more detail!

This is an amazing piece! The sense of the star looming over everything is really conveyed...and the title is perfect. Beautiful!
