Description
After Felicity finishes her breakfast , she goes back to her bedroom and looks around at the unordered chaos. She has only just moved back to England after a year living in Germany, and a lot of her things are still in cases and boxes. One thing that is not packed away, however, is her new school uniform.

She is both nervous and excited about starting at St Tibb's, not really knowing anyone who is already there. She knows, if she wants to get through the next five years and emerge from them a balanced and mentally healthy individual, she will have to make a whole new group of friends from the girls that Year 8 of St Tibb's can offer her. Essentially, this is a complete new start for her.

Her blazer, tie, and skirt are hanging on her wardrobe door. She lifts the hanger they are on and places them on the bed, picking up the blazer to check it out. She likes the colour scheme and thinks it will probably look very smart when she has got the whole outfit on. It is certainly a change from her time in Germany, where she was free to wear whatever she wanted for school.

Her mother bought the uniform items the previous week after Felicity had emailed various measurements to her while still overseas, so she has not had a chance to try them on yet, feeling very reluctant to do so as it would almost seem like school was starting for real or, rather, her somewhat carefree lifestyle over the past year was coming to an end. But, she thinks to herself, I've got to see if they fit! It would be stupid to find out tomorrow morning that my blazer is too small for me. Hmmm... maybe I could put school off for another few days if that were the case while my parents get me a bigger one... ? Mam says St Tibb's is really strict about its uniform and I can't imagine I'd be allowed to begin my first day without a blazer! But nah, seriously, that's just putting it off. I'm going back to school tomorrow and I'd better get used to it!

She lays the blazer back down on the bed and is filled with a sudden sense of pride as she looks over the uniform. Mam went to St Tibb's and she said it was awesome. Nana went, too, but I think it was a boarding school back then; still the same school, though. And tomorrow I'm going to be carrying on that tradition. I like that. It feels good.

She smiles at the thought of being the next generation of her family to go to the same school, and the worry begins to fade. Yes, after her morning shower, she will try on her new uniform and accept the fact that she is now only a day away from becoming a Tibb's girl, just like her mother and her mother before her.

She isn't officially part of the Kate's Exciting Life canon just yet which is why her world is in colour, and it's an excuse for me to show what colour the St Tibb's uniform has actually been all this time!)
