Welll, now I see why I like your art. You have many great influences! I used to buy Osprey and MERP books just because McBride was the featured illustrator! I have loved Waterhouse and Pyle since childhood.

Yay, I'm so glad someone else really liked Angus McBride that much! Seriously, I adore the guy's work and started out slavishly copying Osprey book illustrations... well, as slavishly as you can copy without that much skill.

Where do you get these influence map templates. I have been meaning to make one myself. Ha I was going to pick out Justin Sweet...that was the other fantasy artist I was thinking of that I know you must adore. Great artist to emulate, too. Pyle I figured, too.

Wow. Thank you for doing this. I very much enjoy thematic art in this vein of, let's say, "medieval fantasy," for lack of a better description. I am familiar with a few of the images here and eagerly look forward to exploring some of the works by other artists you have presented that are unfamiliar to me.
