So a few people wanted me to try and edit it more like the anime with an angrier expression. So here it is. Personally, though it looks more like the anime, it makes absolutely no sense anatomically lol and looks more like a bat than a monkey, but there you go lol

Yeah, I know. Just that large eyes make things more cute. It was mostlyΒ the mouth/nose area that I thought looked monkey-like in the original, though.
If you want, you might could make a halfway between version that could please mostΒ people and yourself.

1). that is very realistic to how an animal would look like. I genuinely love the textures you used here!

Your, right it doesn't make sense anatomically, but the previous version just... didn't look right. It wasn't bad at all, it just felt off. Personally, I think it was the eyes being small. I was used to seeing Mankey's with big, angry eyes.

They were pretty big, any bigger and you get the effect here, the sense that it has an enormous head

To be fair, Mankey pretty much is just an enormous head with arms and legs. But I understand what you're saying, when it's like this, it makes it seem like the skull takes up 90% of the body.
