Description
This is a continuation of the commission I did for vincent _Cailloux! I love the two pictures but it seemed a shame they didn't have their own individual pictures and story.
Once again, Iβm only doing the original 151 π Β but happy to do commissions of Pokemon outside if you wish.
--------
I found myself in Saffron City after reading in the news that local restaurateurs had been complaining of food being stolen out of their kitchens by a strange black Pokemon.
Β
When I arrived, I headed straight for the last sighting. A light rain began to fall as I searched around in the alley.Β I quickly noticed some recycling bags that had been torn open. As I pulled at one of the bags, a few glass bottles clinked together loudly and echoed through the alleyway. At the far end, something jumped to its feet! Large glowing red eyes stared back at me. Suddenly it shot off in the other direction.Β
Coming around the corner, I finally saw what it was. Stuck in a dead end alley was an Umbreon. Its fur was jet black and its golden rings shimmered with a low bioluminescence. Their fur can absorb a huge amount of light, making it incredibly dark, perfect for hiding in the shadows.
Wild Eevee packs were very rare in Kanto, and were far more common in the Johto region. Due to Kantoβs Evolution Mines, it became very popular for people to bring Eevee over in order to evolve them, however, it was rare to find their natural evolutions Umbreon or Espeon in this part of the world. In the wild Eevee only evolve when they have an extremely close bond to their pack, or, if in captivity, to their trainer.Β
Β
I realised chasing after the poor thing probably only scared it further, so I slowly knelt on the ground and pulled out some Pokemon kibble from my bag. Carefully, I threw a little toward it. At first it didnβt move, but then it very carefully crept forward and hurriedly ate the food.Β
Backing up to the entrance of the alley so it could see that there was space for it to run if it wanted to, I placed down some more kibble, before moving even further back. Once again it crept forward and ate its fill, however this time it looked up at me expectantly. I poured some in my hand, holding out flat. The Pokemon looked me up and down, sniffing at their air hesitantly before eating. I was earning its trust.
