AllΓ©luia! You point some common problems I've sometimes found when broswing for tutorials, like the bad police or very illisible handwritting.

Epic win, this tutorial...
But you forgot one thing.
PNG > JPG
Congrats on DD

Not entirely true. PNG is good for high quality imgs, yes, but it drives the up the file size since there's no compression. JPG is better for tutorials since it has a lower file size and thus any connection will handle it with little lag.

Therefore - as I said: PNG > JPG.
Both in quality and file size
It's still better than PDF anyway. You don't need any special software for PNGs.

No, PNGs are good for art, not tutorials. You want the tutorial to load with little lag for anyone, not just the high-speed folks. JPGs have lower file size and load quicker, thus are better.

I'm pretty sure that PNG's have a smaller file size since they use loss-less compression like ~xTernal7 said. Then again depending if it's a PNG-8 or PNG-24 or the size of the image that can make a difference as well. So I think you're right about large tutorials being better in JPEGs, but PNGs can have a much smaller file size than JPGs. Refer to: [link] for more info on file sizes.

I agree with all of the stuff on here, but one thing you didn't mention. I think its important to have some sort of background instead of white. Like a pattern or something.

Lol but you could've mentioned it in the tutorial.

Fantastic! And you got a DD for this. Congrats~!
Awesome job for the blatantly obvious XD This should be everywhere and read repeatedly before people start making jumbles of text and images attempting to teach us that we can never understand in the first place : D

I applaud you for pointing out that typing in Comic Sans and Papyrus (and every other crap font) is a bad idea.
Whenever I find one written in Comic Sans I already lose the will to read
