Good to see you surrounded by all those wonderful paintings. To see the size adds a lot to my admiration of
your skills. You are a wonderful artist.

Hehe...thank you
I probably spent longer working on the design for the tatts then any other artwork, and its still the most expensive piece of art I own as well. Adding to it soon I hope, allthough I've been saying that for the last year or so, still mucking about with design for back piece

thank you.
I really didn't realise how much difference it would make to peoples point of view when I posted it, I guess I took it for granted that everyone would know how big they are
Obviously I'm not that bright

WOWZERS!!!
I mean, to see them all together like that is a bit mind boggling- it's a bit hard for me to take in. I paint on large canvases myself, i think the biggest is 120x90 - but I havent ever seen them all displayed toegtehr like these.
It's just really a bit overwhelmeing- the size, the colour- you really should have a big solo show man- knock their socks off!!!
Fantastic!

thank you!
I must admitt that is the best gathering I've ever had in one place, thats why I got karen to take a shot of it. Hard for me to look at it without thinking AGH! THAT WAS A LOT OF WORK!, but I do love them as a group
I'm working on the solo show thing...need a few more and a gallery to who will put it on, but I will get there. Planning on global domination in the long term..
My works are all either 120X 90 or 150X55 nowdays, for some reason those sizes suit me, allthough I am thinking of going slightly bigger soon, but not tooo much or they won't fit in my car

red-lights In reply to Jumprabbit [2006-09-10 02:51:18 +0000 UTC]
Lol yes you need car space! I only drive a little tiny hatch- it's just no good for big canvases- so I have them delivered
I am looking to have a solo show too- I was planning on doing it this year but i dunno- depends on my finances.
It may have to be next year- so until then it will be group shows for me.
I need to churn out some more nude paintings myself- have been doing mainly sketches but they are so costly to frame- and if I do a solo show I need to save TOO much! so I'll go back to canvases where I can just paint the edges, much cheaper
Plus it's been way too long since I've done them on canvas. I miss it too much!
Thanks again for showing us your beautiful works- I am very impressed and excited for you!

I'm sorry I've taken so long to get back you, I've been so streched and stressed and stuff, I jsut end up not replying to mesages that need anymore then a "than you" type of answer.
Painting of edges is cheap, but I HATE doing it. When I'm rich and famous I will employ at least 3 people to do it for me, jsut to make sure
We should like, get it together and have shows soon hey...hope things are working out better for you, be a shame if you moved far far away.

What a cutie standing amongst these magestic women!
I agree with everyone, the size is impressive. But I also find it so cool the way they're all set up, three of them looking in the same direction, Karen looking off to the left, Tracie to the right, Marcela right at us - it's like a whole art piece in itself. And can you see the consistency here? There really is a flow to all your pieces, in texture, tone, colour. GREAT photo. /nods to Karen

thank you for the cutie comment, the rest I will have to pass on to Karen, who set the whole thing up completly...allthough I DID have to actaully paint them, which I pointed out to no great response from her
She's a very underrated artist that one...
In other news you are getting aloing nicely....I had a disagreement with the pillow and it no longer exists....hehehe..also the whole world has gone a kinda chocolate cream colour for reasons I can't explain apart from I like it I'll jsut send it soon anyways

Ha, well we can give her credit for that at least, but yeah, you're the painter after all.
I never expected you to keep in the pillow in anyway, I have no attachments to it. Well I'm glad you like how it's going.

Wow, boss. You look like Justin Chancellor. Did you know that? That's a good thing.
As for your art, you know what I think of that. Do I have any new assignments this month, Herr Fisher?

fractalgrrl In reply to Jumprabbit [2006-09-05 19:20:08 +0000 UTC]
I would imagine that they are. You really just cannot do justice with a camera.
Funny thing is, I knew they were large, as I have seen the photos of you painting -- where you can tell they are large. But I think that seeing them taking up a room the way they do, and lovely as they are, it's very striking.

So, you're feeling your painterly oats, are you? Cool. Beautiful job, too.
Things here are... craptastic. A little of this, a lot of that, one surgery down and one to go. Physical pains, emotionsl fuckups. You know -- life!
I did watch your slideshow and I liked it. I loved the music on it; is it the White Stripes?
π: 0 β©: 1
Jumprabbit In reply to fractalgrrl [2006-11-19 03:15:05 +0000 UTC]
Ahh yes I DO know that trsut me..arg. Life has not been easy lately.
I'm glad you like the slide thingy, I'm pretty happy with it, and yeah is the white stripes.
I share a common artistic goal with them, in that they like to get straight ot the point, simple obvious, easy to understand. At least that's what I like about their music. I'm allways afraid of getting above myself in art. Hopefulyl I haven't done it yet
