Description
So I got asked to make a tutorial for this, and since its my first one, I hope I covered everything. This method obviously works with other things besides skirts too.
If you need any help, feel free to note me or comment.

You don't know how much it hurt to have to fuck up a model just to do this.

(Not sure if it posted my comment earlier so I'm commenting again) So I have no issue with model parts as far as physics goes, but my problem is I don't know how to get the shirt I'm using to work properly with the skin so it doesn't poke through. The shirt has no physics on it, and in PMX Editor it's fine, but when you put it in MMD, bits of the arms will poke through and also the shirt starts to look like the model is wearing shoulder pads (the shoulders get all pointy and weird) I don't have any idea how to fix this, and deleting the bits that poke through just gives the model noodle arms. Do you know how to fix this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

So, my issue is with long sleeves. If I don't cut out bits of the skin, it shows through, but if I do that, then I get noodle arms. How do I fix that issue on shirts and pants that don't come with physics? (With pants, certain parts such as the knees and thighs will clip through, though noodle legs aren't nearly as much of an issue as noodle arms.)

I haven't actually made a model in years, but it sounds like you're deleting the bones of the model when you delete the mesh. If I remember right, the bone selection can be turned off by clicking 'b'

How do we know which body has the problem?

That's really the only way to do it.

The colors would match and a list of checked numbers will appear below the colored boxes

π: 0 β©: 1
K-Channnn In reply to Sirenzombiemaid [2017-12-25 03:39:49 +0000 UTC]
Theres a possiblitity that the physics of the body or outfit are out of place on the model and might be causing it to push the hair out

Um Does anyone know how to stop sleeves from clipping through the arms?

The same tutorial works for sleeves with physics.

Follow the tutorialΒ

Following it doesn't help in all situations, I've already unchecked all the boxes, yet it can still clip through, there's not a single box checked

Then you're at the wrong tutorial. I'm not going to walk you through how to fix your edit any more than the tutorial I made does. I dont know whats wrong with it by your description of 'it doesnt work' that can mean a lot of things and physics might not be the issue.

I just gave up on fixing it, I was simply pointing out, that when some of the commenters say it doesn't work it may not be the issue you showed how to fix

yo why the fuck are you so rude? they didn't once be rude to you, just an innocent question. delete and don't post tutorials if you don't actually want to help.

Yeah I really don't give a shit what you think. Make your own fuckin tutorial if you don't like mine. I posted this almost three years ago when I wanted to help and when I did help. I'm tired of having to fix everything for people and if I do they won't learn how to do it themselves. I told them it was the wrong tutorial and they didn't say shit to even begin to help.Β

K-Channnn In reply to LucyYumeuta [2017-06-27 15:03:57 +0000 UTC]
That's a different issue, try making the physics of the legs and hips smaller. They could be too large and interfering with the skirt's physics

im using an aliceΒ model from BatIM. sometimes when i render the video shes fine she dosentΒ clip. but other times she clips so mych that her skirt of her dress (whick is long in the back and short in the front) clips so much that you see her underwear. would i ude the same steps here even tho the issue is with the shorter part of the dress?

K-Channnn In reply to ScarletLeCreepy [2017-05-23 04:06:31 +0000 UTC]
This could definitely help but sometimes a motion might be too much for a skirt or dress to do, especially if it has few physics like a gamerip might.

I tried to do it but the character won't even load in pmd or pmx editor :/ I've rendered the video 3 times and each time the skirt winds up in a different place .-.

The model might have an editing lock on it or is just absolutely full of unneeded items

Do you happen to know what to do if the skin texture is clipping through a stocking texture in patches?

As in there's two layers? I would just delete the skin mesh underneath
