Yup,the MonsterVerse is kind of like the Showa,having not only Godzilla (and making him heroic again) but also Mothra,Rodan,King Ghidorah and King Kong.

While the 75' Godzilla is more my favorite of the Showa series this Β guy is a close 2nd

They are super close cousins, so yeah in general I'd just say I love the late 60s through the 70s very very much, just something special about him during his superhero years.

Well, it's only my favorite Showa design! Β And come to think of it, I saw Godzilla vs Gigan before DAM when Mark Hamill was hosting that SciFi Channel monster movie marathon along with Godzilla vs Megalon and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla.
