You might have considered giving old "Otto" a puppy dog instead.

I'm revising Bismarck for my A2 paper on Friday; all the essay plans and historical arguments; it's driving me insane!
But this cheered me up! Good ol' Bizzers!

No; didn't add the 'sausage quote'.
I did add that when the King wanted to march on Vienna after the Austro-Prussian war Bismarck cried, locked himself in his room and threatened to commit suicide. Good old Otto; he knew how to make a fuss!

Hmmm, that helmet looks familiar....
Oh yeah!!! That is Vader's helmet!!! (without the pointy dart on top)
I hope he had a good time with those dolls. Maybe we need to send a bunch of dolls to President (kaiser) Bush here in America. I think he needs a BIG break from his moronic activities!!

Your welcome! By the way... why did the germans Have those pointy darts on top of their helmets??? What was that all about?
It is interesting to see the WWII german helmets, and then compare that with Darth Vader's Helmet, and the helmets of the TIE fighters, and the Imperial Walker Pilots. You can clearly see the WWII german influence on the evil empire... from the uniforms to the hats, and all that. I think Lucas was being sneaky and comparing the Empire to Space Nazis.....
"Shall I have your ship standing by?" unnamed imperial officer
"Evacuate? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances."
Last words from the idiot Grand Moff Tarkin before the death star explodes into tiny, tiny little bits and pieces of shrapnel!!! Idiot!!! .... you should have escaped when you had the chance....

I don't know why they were wearing it...one Prussian king designed it so they had to wear it and then they get used to wearing pickelhaube...artillery wore a cap with a ball instead of a spike...the reason whas quite funny...they could deprive their comrades of their eyes
I've heard somewhere that Lucas actually based of a Japanese samurai helmet while designing darth vader's...but it's hard to deny that it reminds that German helmet and I agree with your opinion...the Empire is very similar to the third Reich

YIKES!!! The ball and spikes were for blinding enemies???
Samarai influences were also for the Jedi order. They are really samarais with light sabers instead of Katanas..... Even the clothing style of Ben Kenobi is modelled after karate uniforms and monk robes. Lucas loved the movie the Seven Samarai, so I went and rented the movie. I can see where the jedis came in from that movie. Plus there were two bumbling fighting idiots in the movie that was the humorous part of the movie... who which were later changed to C3PO and R2D2!! Lucas decided arguing robots would be an interesting thing...
Funny how the Third Reich was supposed to last a thousand years, and rule the planet. Hitler only ruled for 12 years... he wanted to remake Germany into a new Rome. I guess he saw himself as the next Caesar to rule the world. Heavy roman influence on the third Reich, even the name itself means third realm (or reign) of the Roman empire.... The architecture, right down to the way the headquarters was all designed with roman styling. Even the berlin stadium was modelled roman style.
I was shocked when I came across a historical book on the Roman Empire, and found so many things that the Nazis copied from the Roman legions!! Even the flag bearers, insignias and symbols matched the flag bearer symbols of the Roman army... only that it was the Nazi army!!! I watched and studied old movie footage of nazi soldiers, and saw the Roman style flags and poles!!
Very interesting how Hitler admired Julius Caesar, and wanted to be another Caesar. Der Fuhrer is very similar to Caesar.... or Kaiser.....
It is really weird to see the connections here.... Julius Caesar visited the grave of Alexander the Great..... wishing to be as great as alexander was. Napoleon admired Caesar, and Hitler visited the grave of Napoleon!! How weird is that? Each one was a dictator admiring the dictator of the past!!!
Makes you wonder if there is a Dictator secret society... one influencing the others from the past.

German Reich was not only influenced by ancient Rome but also pagan cultures (especially ancient Teutonic tribes) and occultism and even hinduism...the swastika is a common symbol in many cultures...for example Finnish planes and tanks during the ww2 had a swastika as a identification symbol (Germans mainly had a cross) ...not that they were nazis but it is an ancient symbol in their culture...the swastika appears in hinduism and other Far East cultures ..the Viking culture..and Teutonic
