Description Another tutorial, yay. This one is just about the basics of layers, since I've had a few requests and a friend just got Photoshop. I hope it helps a little!

The doodly I used as an example for Multiply: [link]

This was done in Photoshop 7, but it should help explain Elements as well. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

I've known how to use layes for a while now, but somehow I've never heard of the multiply option or transparency lock before!! Very useful!! Thanks for the enlightenment!!

Omg - I love you. I fail at layers and I think now that I've read this tutorial (and faved it) I can conquer the world. Well, not really, but close enough!

I don't have PS, but the same concept can be used on GIMP. Thanks for the help.

This is very usefull. Allthought I already knew this all.. but I didn't remember the lock thing.
I learn this all on a computercourse, and we were using photoshop. But I quit it, and now I can't do anything, cause
I don't have a photoshop at home. But I'll ask it for a xmaspresent, cause my dad promised to buy me it, like 6 months ago?

Thanks! Yeah, it's a lot to remember, especially if you just have to rush through it in school. Photoshop is great as a present. Tablets are also a great deal, since you can get the tablet and Photoshop Elements for not much more than Photoshop alone, heh.
