Description

Here is a second sketch of a rocket being launched from an artificial island/colony
After some discussion it was decided that the rocket would be towed to the launch site aboard a FLIP barge...this is the vessel in the center of the painting that looks like a sinking ship. The resemblance is more than coincidental: the FLIP works by flooding onboard tanks which tilts the vessel into an upright position, as seen here. In its horizontal position it would look like a very long, but otherwise normal vessel. Such vessels are already in use. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RV_FLIP
The addition of this third vessel made a new sketch mandatory. I decided to put the rocket in the foreground and I moved the wing-sail equipped tug to the back(it is the vessel behind and to the right of the FLIP. The tug will be powered by hydrogen or electric motors supplemented by four wingsails. In the final painting I hope to be able to show much more detail of the tug.

As before the artificial island colony is in silhouette in the back ground. I also played around more with the stars: since this is the eventual destination of the colonists, I would like to give the stars special prominence.
