Description
I was digging through my old photo files looking for some reference photos when I came across this, from several years ago. Overnight the temperature had dropped to around 20F below zero and there had been a light snowfall...somehow the combination left a dusting of these perfect snowflakes everywhere. No real reason for sharing this; I just thought it was pretty cool!Related content

This is really a lovely capture. It looks magical. Although I know that cold a temperature makes a person wish for magic!

I hate winter! It is always so dark and dreary here and it seems to last forever! Thought it was over and then we got that crazy "Spring Blizzard" a few days ago.

I don't mind a little snow here and there...but these endless grey days are hard on the morale.

Yes, they are. I even have a lamp I use in the winter that is supposed to combat that Seasonal Affective Disorder. I can't really tell.

It seemed to help at first but then I discovered a med I was taking for high blood pressure had side effects of depression, anxiety, and sleeplessness. So I got off of them, lost 10 pounds and am working out daily on a treadmill. Saw the Dr on the 9th and she said I didn't "need" them any more. I had quit taking them on the 9th of March, got a cuff and started keeping track of my blood pressure 3 times a day. But it wouldn't have mattered. I won't take them again. Any med that causes depression is BS!
If the "cure" is as dangerous in a different way as the problem, I will take the problem.

This is the one I got, if you mean about the lamp.

It is a little over a foot tall. Maybe a foot and a half and very bright with 3 touch settings on the back. I really like how it looks. A very aesthetically pleasing design with a bit of an oriental feel to it.

It, or something like it, might make a good studio light.

Yes, it would.
By the way found the 2nd half of the Carson interview with Robin Williams, that I also had never seen.

I love that he could make Carson lose it.

Silly me. I apparently waited until I could show this one to my daughter before I commented. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous shot.

Thank you! I have moved since then and I doubt that it will ever get that cold where I live now...for which I am thankful.

Hmmm...we have a little more variety here: 1).Hot, windy and dry 2) Cold windy and dry and 3) a thunderstorm, usually sometime in July.
