Description
A portait of an old girlfriend, an older piece, but one I still like, mainly for the loose quality of it.Related content

Nice play on light. The form is good. The rendering is simple, but very effective. Like it emphasisess or protrays somekinda emotion.

this is really quite amazing..I love how she doesn't have contour on her left side in contrast to the dark on the other side, and you still manage to keep a good balance

Oh.. so lovely! The colors splashing around her makes it look so alive.. And the use of the space, I am speechless. Truly beautiful.. and filled with skill and beauty.

It's already been said but the way you used the negative space in this piece is really great and I love the water-color look. Furthermore the detailed work that went into the hair is impressive. Well done.

Yeah, D, just check my website if you want to see immense...and it doesn't even really include sequential pages, mainstream commercial art and illustration, just paintings and sketchbooks...thanks! This one is one of my favorites, for the loose quality of it...something I don't achieve too often anymore.

When I think of aquacolour I use to think of flowers, landscapes and fruit (yaaawn)...till now! I love this work. Boring aquapainters, move over!

Hhaha, thanks...to be honest, I have never gotten into landscapes and florals either, tho I can see the skill in the really good ones...I have so much to learn in watercolor still, it isn't even funny!

Do me a favour: stay away from florals and landscapes!
Keep up the good work.

thanks, onetruth...I do digital stuff too, but it does seem that people go nuts for digital work a little too quickly...having said that, I appreciate the talent and skill it takes to do truly good digital work.

I'm with you! Digital work can be difficult and beautiful, but try telling that to most gallery owners! Beautiful watercolor!
