Pretty much why I quit taking the cartooning gig seriously. Not because I draw bad n' lazy and don't improve because I do improve. I just got sick of the overly judgmental and opinionated viewers. Plus the whole comic/cartoon/anime culture is getting too alien for me like with this "cosplaying" and insane gang-like fanaisism. I still draw, just for personal fun now.
Well I don't cry naked in a corner, I just move on to my other interests like writing and chemistry. At least atoms don't judge. They're all considered neutral.

Oh good grief, I hate when someone draws every character with the same face, there's a guy here on D.A. who does it, usually pin-up style fan art of various comics characters and they all look the same, like it's the same woman cosplaying, yet people commission him to do more.
Of course, my art suffers from all of this (except same face, I suffer from the opposite: can't seem to get characters looking consistent, that is to say when I draw one character multiple times they end up looking a bit different each time)... but still, I know that feel.
