Description
Everyone's been begging me for one of these, so here it is! It does require a basic knowledge of Photoshop, but I hope it's detailed enough to help at least a little. ^_^Related content

What version of Photoshop did you use? I've got CS6 and I can't find the smudge tool !

Oh gosh this was a few versions ago. Now I use PS Elements 7. Smudge is the same button as Sharpen and Blur in my version. Right-click to choose which tool you're using.

what directions do you go when your smudging the colors in? I get confused on those parts...lol. i tryed smudging a already shaded horse to see if i could do it the right way and i ONLY got the cheekbone right....lol

Kholran In reply to painted-cowgirl [2010-07-22 22:32:28 +0000 UTC]
I usually follow the natural lay of the hair on a real horse. Gives it a more realistic appearance, so I don't smudge it all in one direction.

Kholran In reply to painted-cowgirl [2010-07-22 22:31:45 +0000 UTC]
Probably not this one. The original lineart was done as a commission, and I don't release those or re-use them because it wouldn't be fair to the person that paid for it originally. I may make some free for use lines at some point in the future.

Commissions generally run $10-25 USD depending on what the commissioner wants.

YAY!!! Thank you so much!!! I don't have photoshop on my computer sadly, but the computers in my photography/english teacher's room do, and we never really do anything in those classes, so I could try this out!! In fact, my english teacher has even been trying to help me figure out how to do linearts, though he knows about as much of that as I do, so he's not much help there...
