Description
It's taken some time but I finally got around to revising my coloring tutorial. This is a basic getting started tutorial that will hopefully get you going the right direction. If you have any questions feel free to post them.Good luck and good art!

Thank you for the tutorial. I have done a little practice here.
Changing the color and the value was a great tip. That paired with the ambient light really does help make it look realistic and natural.
I figured out that if you want to make the colors look more related to one another, you can hold down alt, and while you are choosing the next color you can see it next to the color you currently have selected in the tools menu and you will be ablel to tell how close they are to one another. (your currently selected color will show up in the foreground, and the color you are color picking will show up in the background.)

Thanks for explaining the basics! It's not much now since it doesn't really explain the tools and settings, as well as how to use them, but it still helps a little bit.

You control the flow of your airbrush tool and you can make sure you have selected the piece so it doesn't go out of where you want it to go.

The ambient/reflected light beneath the core shadow gives it that "zing"

Hey man, whatever you want to hear! That's "boss" sounds okay...but "effin sweet!" works too! LOL!
You working? I should be, but it's slow and the boss is away. Otherwise I wouldn't be on the site while at work normally....uh this in no way defines my work ethic though hahahahaha!

Sometimes art gets over thought. Once you get the basic techniques it becomes more about what you create than how you create it. Simple is the best way to go.
