This is a quick tutorial to help users of DeviantART learn how to JOIN the group #AnthroCommunity because this is a popular question, I figured I'd shed some light on it! This can also be used for any other group! (stay tuned, there might be a video tutorial too!)
Go to #AnthroCommunity
At the top of the groups page, you will see a large blue box that says “CONTRIBUTE”. At the far RIGHT hand corner you will see “JOIN OUR GROUP”. 
A box will pop up with your request to join. Write in your request and hit 
All applications are AUTOMATICALLY accepted which means you will become a member instantly. Check your MESSAGES CENTER for the APPROVED membership down under the GROUPS section! Welcome to AnthroCommunity Group!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask in the group!

You should be able to join as many groups as a member. But there is a limit for admin.

When you try to join the group does it say anything? Like an error? Or does the 'join' button not become available.

It says I can't join because I'm already the administrator of three groups.

You might want to submit a bug report? It should let you join a group as a member ( regular member not a MOD or Admin ) even if you are an admin of 3 groups. I will however double check this

I'm on my tablet and the button doesn't show, does it only show while on a computer/ laptop?

Perhaps it's because your on your tablet. What button are you referring to?

Great! You can submit to the group usually by going to your deviation and submitting it that way when you initially submit your deviation to DeviantART or you can go to the group itself and submit it by going to their galleries and choosing a folder

Does it matter who I send the request to? The members or the founder?

Each group is different. Normally you can't join the founders group , or it isn't enabled. Whenever there are options available to you to join, then you will join that 'class' if you will. So if you want to be a member, just join members.

Question, do I HAVE to fill in that request 'box' or is it optional? Can I just hit summit without filling that box out first?

The problem now is what can I write for the 'box' thing? Can I write something like "May I join the group?"

When you request to join a group you hit JOIN THIS GROUP. A box pops up and it says "REQUEST TO JOIN THIS GROUP". That means you put something in the box ie: I would like to join this group because Im a digital artists. You basically put your reason why you want to join that group

Nestly: I have a question for you. I have a group and am still a bit clueless in using this feature. People have said our group is not accepting members at this time, yet I have no idea where to edit this feature. Can you help me out?

Im afraid I cannot answer that as I dont own a group so I'm not sure where that feature is at to help you. I would suggest maybe seeking out an FAQ?

The group feature is not enabled for the rest of deviantART community, but soon it will be
