Transformers: IGNITION - Megatron (Robot Mode)Megatron is one of the few characters that will come to Earth yet retain his Cybertronian form. Β Taking on a disguise is beneath him, as when he makes his appearance known, he wants everyone to KNOW it's Megatron they are facing, and not hidden in some crusty Earth machine's visage.
Not to say he can't get a new form down the road, but for now, he's stays like this

After watching Transformers Prime, Megatron retaining his Cybertronian mode seems to be the most fitting alternate mode he should be given for any continuity.Β

I hope this Megatron isn't a Xenophobic version again. I still don't get that portrayal in some of his incarnations. The whole humans are meatbags no better than bacteria attitude. Especially in Prime seeing how he rose from a position on Cybertron that would be like a human rising in the face of his might.
After all in Prime he began life as a Slave with a number not a name and had to fight to the top to earn his name. From that perspective looking down on humans is really stupid since he knows first hand how the oppressed can rise to overcome any adversity.
Meh sorry for the rant just my take on Megatron is going to have a mutual respect for humanity as a species. Not out right love for them but he knows they have their uses and not just as slaves under his thumb. Starscreem on the other hand well him viewing us like that makes a bit more sense with his scientific view on organics Vs. Cybertronian.

Not xenophobic, more of "weak are to kneel before me" whether robot or organic. Β Sees himself as a conqueror/warrior king sort of thing. Β As you said, no outright love for humans, but yes, they have uses and he's not afraid of or above alliances with humans. Β If it works in his favour, of course

I could see Megatron being honorable in his dealings with humans. A scratch my back kind of guy who would honor his word. But that doesn't mean the other Decepticons have to unless Megatron makes it clear they had better.

Decepticons, transform and rise up! Excellent job on Megatron, classic look but updated with a kickass alien tank mode! Reminds me a little of his IDW forms too, another series that shows off how tanks and Megatron go well together XD. He looks ready to kick some autobot skid plate, well done

I think it's the legs I like the most, he keeps being given skinny legs these days. Well, tell a lie, feels like it though.

True, he tends to have legs that evoke the half-gun handle of his G1 form even if he's got a different alt mode, but I kept looking at his big tread legs in the revenge of the fallen and I was like "I think I need something like that"

Exactly. It's like the latest Megatron figure they are rolling out. The figure looks great until you look at the legs, they are skinny and it just throws him off for me.
